DeLaSalle thrives off of and is grateful for the multitude of talent and skills that many alumni, friends, and supporters contribute to the school. Nowhere is the adage “Many hands make light work” more true than at DeLaSalle, where the collective efforts of dedicated volunteers result in successful class reunions and other activities that both engage alumni, friends, and supporters with their alma mater and support the current generation of Islanders. Everyone has a vital role in our community and we encourage you to consider sharing your time and energy with us.

The Alumni Association is a growing group of individuals working together to completely and accurately represent DeLaSalle today. The association’s mission is to create events that enhance financial support of Islander students while encouraging all DeLaSalle alumni to get involved in a variety of events. The association is working to expand its reach with representation from each graduating class.

To be an Alumni Ambassador means to be the voice of your class and the liaison between DeLaSalle and our alumni community. This position is an essential part of the Alumni Association and means a great deal to the growth of DeLaSalle. An Alumni Ambassador works to bridge all alumni – from past to present and into the future – through a variety of alumni events and benefits that significantly help enhance the financial support, sense of community, and loyalty that so many of our alumni and friends share.

As an Alumni Ambassador, here are some ways to be involved:

  • Connect with classmates about what is happening at DeLaSalle
  • Reconnect classmates through social media
  • Reach out to alumni to attend the Christian Brothers’ Gala, Alumni Weekend, and other alumni events
  • Share with the Alumni Office any updates from your class (e.g. where are they now, fun facts, obituaries, etc.)
  • Commit to being a contact for your class

You are invited to become a part of alumni history at DeLaSalle. Your networking and commitment to a team dedicated to the continued success of the place that so many of us call home is vital. Join us and become a part of the Alumni Association as an Alumni Ambassador!

Nearly 100 volunteers help in the planning of DeLaSalle class reunions. Classes have had memorable celebrations over the years thanks to the time and effort of so many volunteers. If you are approaching a reunion year for your class, we invite you to help your class plan exciting, memory-sharing gatherings: brunches, luncheons, games, and events.

Help us recognize outstanding Islanders whose leadership and service have made an exceptional contribution to DeLaSalle. Nominate an alumni or friend for the Hall of Fame Award, Lasallian Award, Roberts-Reinhart Award, or Brother Michael Collins Award. The school honors these recipients at our Hall of Fame Awards ceremony during our annual Alumni Weekend each August.

The educational and spiritual mission of DeLaSalle High School is what inspires so many alumni to stay involved and active in the DLS community. We know our alumni are also extremely busy individuals, currently involved in so many corporate boards, civic committees, and other volunteering adventures.

If you don’t have time in your life right now to be physically involved, you may still support De with a donation. Click here to make an online donation. To offer needed items, please contact Liz Hewitt at 612.676.7659.
