Anniversary Year Class Reunions
The DLS Alumni Association invites Islanders to celebrate a high school reunion every five years. Class reunions offer a fun, social time with high school friends you see often and those you haven’t seen in years …
… to reminisce about high school activities, classes, and teachers; to laugh about the antics you enjoyed.
… to network with friends on a professional level, possibly opening up new opportunities.
… to get trusted referrals ~for example, a doctor, car mechanic, or plumber; to hear recommendations for grad school or trade unions.
… to truly connect with others in person rather than in the cyber world.
… to share stories about jobs and families, travel and pastimes, to see where classmates landed in life.
… to pray together ~in thanksgiving for Lasallian education, in remembrance of those who have died, in petition for future graces, in gratitude for DeLaSalle High School which continues to offer all graduates a welcoming, caring community./span>
DeLaSalle hosts Reunion Weekend, typically in early August, with the Hall of Fame recognition evening, a golf tournament, an all-alumni Mass, tours of the school, and a dinner celebration for the 50th anniversary reunion class./span>
Classmates are invited to form a reunion committee to plan in collaboration with the DLS Alumni Relations Office which will assist classmates with communication and event advertisement, preparations and organizing./span>
Make your reunion memorable! Become a member of your class reunion planning committee. You can help build enthusiasm, share event ideas, help raise funds for a class gift, reacquaint yourself with classmates, all the while having a great time./span>
If you are interested in joining your class reunion planning committee or to share suggestions and classmate updates, please contact Kathy Busch, 612-676-7687.
February 2021 Update
We are hopeful that by the summer of 2021, large groups can safely gather again. Those classes who missed their 2020 reunions could consider a 2021 event or pairing with a 2021 anniversary class.
As class event plans are formed and decisions made, we will post them under these class headings (click on heading).
Classmate Vernon Rowland invites you to join in the planning of your 25th anniversary reunion.
A reunion notice and planning invitation was emailed February 17th. Did you receive yours? Be sure the DeLaSalle Alumni Office has your current email address as most of the planning communications will be sent via email.
If you would like to join in the fun of planning this silver celebration, or to send your contact information update, please contact Kathy Busch, DLS Advancement Office, 612-676-7687 or email@example.com.

2020 DeLaSalle Alumni and Friends Golf Tournament
Friday, August 7th
Theodore Wirth Golf Course
Shotgun Start Scramble ~ Social Hour ~ Picnic Dinner
RECAP: Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2020 DeLaSalle Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament.
The rain held off, the pars were plentiful, and the picnic dinner was delicious. DE’s new president (and avid golfer), Dr. Bryan Bass, met golfers on the 7th hole where his long drive could be substituted for a team’s tee shot. Congratulations to the prize winners: first, second, and third place lowest scores, longest drive, closest to the pin, and longest putt. Five skins worth $50 each were captured. Proceeds from this golf tournament support the Alumni Association’s scholarships to DeLaSalle 12th grade students.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s annual, good-golf, good-friends, and good-time alumni gathering!
Please contact Kathy Busch, 612-676-7687, with suggestions for the 2021 Tournament.
Islanders Are Everywhere!
Each spring, members of the DeLaSalle Advancement Office join the school president in visiting with alumni and friends in Arizona and Florida. These outreach efforts give us a chance to thank our supporters and share the good news of DeLaSalle, a story that still resonates for multiple generations. Each year, many alums and friends visit the school or attend school events. And each year, the DeLaSalle Office of Advancement travels to meet with alumni and friends as a sign of appreciation for their ongoing support. Advancement staff have the opportunity to update and thank our supporters, and attendees to those events find ways to support the school’s longevity and vitality. If you are in these areas and wish to attend an event, please contact Liz Hewitt.
The 2020 alumni and friends receptions were held on February 26 in Tonto Verde, AZ, February 28 in Tucson, AZ, and March 11 in Bonita Springs, FL.
Class Socials and Get-Togethers
Between anniversary reunion years, many DE classmates gather together annually at home picnics, local restaurants, and sports venues. Here is a list of upcoming social events. If you are interested in participating in an event or would like to organize one for your class, please contact Kathy Busch in the Alumni Relations Office, 612-676-7687. We’ll be happy to help you spread the word!
June 2020 Update
Due to the COVID pandemic, planned class social events have been canceled or postponed. As soon as it is safe to gather again in large groups, information about class socials will be posted here.
