Staff, Full-time

DeLaSalle is accepting applications for a full-time Admissions/Communications Associate.

The Admissions / Communications Associate will report to the Executive Director for Enrollment and Marketing and work as a key member of the office team and larger school staff.  The position will primarily be responsible in four areas: (1) creating effective relationships with external constituents, particularly prospective students and parents; (2) management of the school’s admission database, building records and reports, tracking inquiries, applications, and registrations; (3) assisting communication and marketing efforts of the school, including mailings, social media, and email; and (4) support for admissions- and development-related events.  Strong consideration will be given for candidates who are bi-lingual in both Spanish and English language.

The ideal person is one with passion for Catholic, urban, college preparatory education, and supports our mission by demonstrating strong communication skills, an attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high levels of service to families and benefactors.  The candidate must possess abilities in data management. Spanish bi-lingual abilities are preferred.  Public speaking and writing skills are a plus.  The candidate is one who is seeking to make a difference in the lives of young people and their families.

Student Activities, Seasonal (Winter Season)

DeLaSalle is accepting applications for Boys’ Diving Coach for the 2021-2022 winter season. DeLaSalle is part of a co-op with St. Anthony Village High School and St. Agnes School. The team practices and competes at St. Anthony Village High School, but the program is run administratively by DeLaSalle. At DeLaSalle, we offer education based activities and athletics and seek a coach who embodies our mission, as well as the mission of our participating co-op schools.

Transportation, part-time (20-25 hours per week); starting rate of pay up to $21 an hour

To provide for the safe transportation of DeLaSalle students through the operation of school owned vehicles and execute duties in compliance with all laws, regulations and training. Compensation commensurate with experience and licensure.

Drivers work flexible hours from late August through end of May. Weekday morning and afternoon shifts; activity transportation (afternoons and weekends), or a combination of the two are available. Bus operations include morning and afternoon routes and activity driving. Van operations include morning and afternoon routes.

License Requirements

  • Clean driving record
  • Department of Transportation physical (cost reimbursed by DeLaSalle)
  • Bus: CDL with school bus endorsement; some training available
  • Van: Standard driver’s license; short training session

DeLaSalle is accepting applications for a part-time cashier in the DeLaSalle Cafe. This position assists with lunch prep; manages cashier line during lunches; sets up and maintains stock on food service line; restocks after each lunch service; general cleaning; and other duties as assigned.  This is a part-time, seasonal position.

Staff, Full-Time

DeLaSalle is accepting applications for a HR and Payroll Administrator. This employee is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of the bi-monthly payroll, benefits processing and associated tasks.  The individual will be the school’s subject matter expert with all payroll and benefits administration activity and will use sound judgement and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.

Representative Responsibilities:

  • Create, project, and maintain a professional image at all times and be present and ready for all scheduled work hours while maintaining a clean and professionally organized work area.
  • Provide excellent customer service and proactive problem resolution through appropriate and effective communication with families, students, and staff relating to any inquiry.
  • Resolve problems in recurring assignments in accordance with previous training and experience and seek supervisor provided suggestions for handling unusual or nonrecurring issues.
  • Assist Supervisor with administrative support as needed and assigned.

Payroll Responsibilities:

  • Enter and maintain accuracy of employee records in Paycom.  Ensure payroll data is entered and the system is set up to correctly meet requirements regarding employee changes, terminations, benefits, overtime, taxes, garnishments, child support, misc deductions and tax withholdings.
  • Produce the accurate and timely generation of the bi-monthly payrolls in accordance with company policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain integrity and accuracy of personnel databases and filing systems, both electronic and physical to include maintenance of document filing system on a regular basis.
  • Implement and maintain payroll best practices to ensure accuracy and improve payroll processes and efficiencies.
  • Process and manage year-end W-2 reporting.
  • Provide payroll reports to the CFO, Controller and other departments as needed.

Benefits Administration:

  • Assist employees with day-to-day questions regarding payroll, benefits and plan changes, including coverage details, premiums deductions, claims and qualifying changes in status.
  • Ensure benefit enrollment, changes and disenrollment are entered accurately and timely with carriers.
  • Review and reconcile benefit invoices for accuracy and timely billing administration.
  • Coordinate annual benefit open enrollment to include forms and the communication of benefits changes.
  • Communicate with staff and third-party administrator regarding rights and responsibilities under COBRA.
  • Process disability and workers compensation claims paperwork.  Coordinate FMLA, ADA and workers’ compensation as needed.

HR and Administrative Support:

  • Maintain personnel records with inclusion of appropriate documentation: update and prepare job descriptions: prepare additional documents including Work Agreements and Wage Theft Notice.
  • Prepare open position posting, receive applications, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates.
  • Set up and maintain accurate personnel files for new employees and volunteers.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation with employee’s supervisor.
  • Train new employees on payroll system timesheet entries and paid time off requests.
  • Maintain compliance with background check procedures, Virtus requirements, and other relevant diocesan and state employment regulations.
  • Coordinate process for teacher/staff recognition awards.
  • Annual review, revision and update of Employee Handbook and notebook.
  • Provider coverage for front desk receptionist as needed.
  • Continuously learn the latest HR best practices to improve workplace efficiency.


  • Two years of post-secondary education and three years of experience in payroll, benefits and HR administration.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal are required.

Preferred Experience/Credentials

  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation from the American Payroll Association.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and human resources functions.
  • Paycom knowledge preferred
