Staff, full0-time

DeLaSalle is accepting applications for a full-time Director of Annual Giving with passion and prior fundraising experience. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with an ability to effectively manage multiple fundraising needs.  Excellent communication, writing, and relationship management skills are a must.

The Director of Annual Giving will report to the V.P. for Advancement and will be a key member of the Advancement office at DeLaSalle.  The position will require the use of a variety of skills and will primarily be responsible in four areas; donor relationships, prospect research, marketing/communications, and event support.  A candidate will need to have a strong attention to detail and organization, an ability to handle multiple projects, excellent communication skills, proven project management experience, and an ability to work independently, while also supporting the team during events.  The position will require work outside of normal business hours during events and peak periods, but generally is a 40 hour per week position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow current donor support through the annual fund; and lead efforts to sustain donors through excellent cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation.
  • Effectively lead an annual development plan with various appeal programs throughout the year, including solicitations, phonathons, cultivation and stewardship. This effort includes effective communication materials and media.
  • Develop relationships with a small portfolio of 25-75 gift prospects, and lead new support initiatives.
  • Lead efforts within the department to identify new prospects for support, particularly through events.
  • Support events, ensuring that adequate support is in place to deliver high quality, meaningful experiences.
  • Host in-person donor visits and provide tours as needed.
  • Maintain accurate supporter records within RE database.
  • Support other Advancement office needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Education or equivalent
  • At least 2-5 years of Advancement or sales experience
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge (and NXT)

Transportation, seasonal part-time

To provide for the safe transportation of DeLaSalle students through the operation of school owned vehicles and execute duties in compliance with all laws, regulations and training. Compensation commensurate with experience and licensure.

Drivers work flexible hours (10-30 hours per week) from late August through end of May. Weekday morning and afternoon shifts; activity transportation (afternoons and weekends), or a combination of the two are available. Bus operations include morning and afternoon routes and activity driving. Van operations include morning and afternoon routes.

License Requirements

  • Clean driving record
  • Department of Transportation physical (cost reimbursed by DeLaSalle)
  • Bus: CDL with school bus endorsement; some training available
  • Van: Standard driver’s license; short training session
