Staff: Full-time, Spring 2022

Purpose of Position: The Executive Director of Human Dignity and Inclusion develops, facilitates and integrates comprehensive strategies and programs where, equity, diversity and inclusivity are key components of advancing the Catholic, Lasallian mission of DeLaSalle High School.

Reporting to the President, the Executive Director’s primary objective is to lead the development of a vision and effective strategy that champions the importance of a strong culture represented by the practices of respecting each individual character and background, fostering an inclusive culture where each person’s dignity is affirmed. Development of critically conscious educators is the conduit for a socially just and inclusive schooling experience. Thus, this position will lead efforts to form faculty and staff with a distinct focus on equity, anti-racism, and inclusion as is the tradition of Catholic Lasallian schools.

Sample of Representative Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a director in the areas of racial equity, inclusion, and fair treatment for all students and educators.
  • Provide direction and guidance for the development and implementation of an overarching diversity, equity and inclusion plan.
  • Create an analytics process that focuses on student performance data both in academics and social experience. Ensure continuous improvement by analyzing data, measuring progress, collaborating with faculty and promoting accountability.
  • Review, support, and develop equitable institutional policies, practices, procedures and programs.
  • Create a strong partnership with all DeLaSalle educators to advance the school’s efforts to recruit, support, and retain diverse faculty and to provide a curriculum that reflects the values of diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Leads the development and implementation of proactive culture based in Catholic Social Teaching around topics of anti-racism, racial equity and inclusivity.
  • Collaborates with all academic departments to ensure classroom culture reflects the broader mission of a Catholic Lasallian high school in the areas of equity and inclusion

Experience and Education Requirements

  • A master’s degree is preferred in Diversity/Equity/ and or Inclusion Leadership.
  • A minimum of three years of work leading Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work. Experience in a Catholic, Lasallian school is a plus.
  • A strong understanding of contemporary diversity, equity, inclusion concepts/issues as they apply to Catholic,Lasallian education.
  • Demonstrate strong facilitation skills with a proven ability to advance difficult conversations around race, anti-racism, equity and inclusion as well as other experiences of injustice, inequity, and oppression. Experience speaking in front of large groups is a plus.
  • A demonstrated ability to solve problems through a collaborative method, a fundamental understanding of current issues and challenges facing individuals from diverse backgrounds, the ability to develop knowledge of, respect for and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds, and a proven ability to build relationships.
  • Expert level of multicultural literacy and cross-cultural awareness and communication skills.

Student Activities, Seasonal (Winter Season)

DeLaSalle School is adding Alpine Ski for boys and girls to its many activity offerings for the winter of 2021-2022. This is the first year we will offer an Alpine Ski team. We are in search of someone who is innovative, flexible, and ready to take on a start-up. At DeLaSalle, we offer education based activities and athletics, and seek a coach who embodies our mission:

Transportation, part-time (20-25 hours per week); starting rate of pay up to $21 an hour

To provide for the safe transportation of DeLaSalle students through the operation of school-owned vehicles and execute duties in compliance with all laws, regulations, and training. Compensation commensurate with experience and licensure.

Drivers work flexible hours from late August through end of May. Weekday morning and afternoon shifts; activity transportation (afternoons and weekends), or a combination of the two are available. Bus operations include morning and afternoon routes and activity driving. Van operations include morning and afternoon routes.

License Requirements

  • Clean driving record
  • Department of Transportation physical (cost reimbursed by DeLaSalle)
  • Bus: CDL with school bus endorsement; some training available
  • Van: Standard driver’s license; short training session

DeLaSalle is accepting applications for a part-time cashier in the DeLaSalle Cafe. This position assists with lunch prep; manages cashier line during lunches; sets up and maintains stock on food service line; restocks after each lunch service; general cleaning; and other duties as assigned.  This is a part-time, seasonal position.

DeLaSalle is accepting applications for a short-call substitute teacher for the 2021-22 school year.

Substitute teachers fulfill the duties of the regular teacher in the teacher’s absence, including taking attendance; assigning classwork following teacher’s lesson plans; distributing and collecting work according to the teachers instructions; maintaining confidentiality of student records and information, and managing an orderly classroom.
