As of early June, it is likely that DeLaSalle will begin the 2022-23 school year with another strong enrollment, thanks in part to the many positive referrals from current DeLaSalle families. Thank you!

Even as we have transitioned and modified some of our typical programming during the pandemic, most of the metrics to measure success at De remain in place: We have registered more ninth graders for the 2022-23 school year than all but two private and/or Catholic high schools in Minnesota. Over 95 percent of our graduates have confirmed plans to attend college in the fall, matriculating to over 30 different states and countries (as is typical). Student activity participation has been robust and many programs have achieved significant group and/or individual success. Most importantly, we have prayed with and for each other multiple times each day – and in that spirit of our enduring mission, we have looked out for the well-being of our community and communities across the Twin Cities. Again, thank you!

The school is still accepting applications and in most cases as June begins, we are still able to place a new registrant at all grade levels for the coming year. Space may be somewhat limited, however. This is largely due to a higher level of inquiries and registrations in the month of May. In a typical May, the school would receive first-time queries from 10-12 families still interested in coming to DeLaSalle; in May 2022, we received 31 first-time queries and registered 14 new students as incoming transfers or ninth graders with more registration appointments on the June calendar. Moreover, we are still receiving new inquiries into the first few days of June and following up with family tours on a daily basis.

Executive Director for Enrollment, Mike O’Keefe `78 notes that summer registrations in any year are dependent on a series of steps: (1) the student meets admission criteria obviously, but also (2) that a course schedule, tuition contract, bus route, and other family logistical needs can still be built as we draw nearer to the 2022-23 school year. That said, we will do all that we can to help a qualified applicant and family join our community at De.

Interested families are encouraged to contact either Mike O’Keefe or as soon as possible to learn more about DeLaSalle, admission criteria, the application process, and potential placement. We are always grateful for the many, many kind words offered by current families to their friends and colleagues in the days and weeks to come.
