Let us remember…that we are in the holy presence of God.
+ In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Thank you, Jesus, for Your constant presence and care.
Thank you for giving us the grace to release our failed efforts
and bottled-up emotions to You.
You are free of judgment and full of healing love.
Help us to be the same.

Last Thursday was Educator Appreciation Day. Thanks to all students who sent messages of gratitude to De educators. Each day this week, we will feature a few of those messages.

★ Thank you for always checking in on me, even though I may not show it I appreciate the fact that you ask and show that you care. I also like how you teach our class and I’m going to miss you.

★ You are one of the scariest people I have ever met, and I want to thank you for that. You have really whipped me into shape this past year. I want to thank you for being the rock that I needed.

★ You always say what’s up or Hi. I love talking sports stuff to you and just talking to you in general. You have been such a great teacher and staff member to me. Thank you.
If you need help understanding college financial plans for next year or comparing financial aid packages, plan to attend the College Planning session tomorrow (Tuesday), during WIN #2. College Advisers will give a short presentation followed by one-on-one time with students who want to review their awards. Also, if you missed the Financial Aid Info Night last fall or just need a refresher on how to read your financial aid award, here is a one-page guide from College Covered.
Hello, Islanders! The Student Council would like to invite you to “DeChella” on Friday, May 13, 3:00pm – 6:00pm. There will be food trucks, games, and activities throughout the festival! There will also be a talent show, so grab some friends and sign up before Wednesday, May 11, to participate! Click this link to register.
The Environmental Subcommittee of NHS will be hosting its Island Clean-Up event this Saturday, May 7, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Join us whenever you can! Staying for the whole event will count as 3 Christian Service hours. Check-in will be on the field and from there, students can begin picking up trash near the school. Some supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own gloves and bags if you have them. The person who clears the most trash each hour will get a $10 gift card to the Tare Market, a low waste store in Minneapolis that stocks local products.
