All DeLaSalle parents are invited to the first meeting of the DeLaSalle Parent Association on Monday, September 20, from 6:30-8:00 pm, in Room D-104, the Richard M. Schulze Lab.  The Schulze Lab is adjacent to the two main entries into the building.

The Association took last school year off because of the pandemic, but has scheduled a popular and informative speaker for its first meeting of this school year. Child psychologist, Dr. Teresa Boatman, will speak about “Inviting Student Success Post Pandemic.”  Dr. Boatman’s presentation on the topic was well received by faculty and staff when she presented during DeLaSalle Educator Week before the school year began.

By virtue of your enrollment at DeLaSalle, all parents are already a member of the Association, and we welcome your involvement and help. A special invitation is extended to parents who are new to DeLaSalle to join us on the 20th, as it was great to meet so many of you at Back-to-School Night on September 1.

The Association, which typically meets on the second Monday of every month throughout the school year, also organizes several events to better connect parents with other parents for the benefit of the school and all students.   The Parent Association is NOT a fundraising organization.  This Monday, we will share an overview of speakers and activities from past years, as well as the “Parents in Prayer” program, and also field suggestions for topics important to parents.

The staff liaison is Mike O’Keefe, who also happens to be the parent of three De alums.  If you have any questions about the meeting on the 20th or “Parents in Prayer,” or any other potential topics for future meetings, please contact Mike at mike.okeefe@delasalle.com.  We hope to see you on Monday night!
