Wow! What a wonderful response to 2021-22 registration at all four grade levels! Even as we continue our primary focus on the immediate and short-term needs of this school year, we begin planning for the fall with great confidence.
Ninth grade registration for the Class of 2025 was held on February 27, and we had a robust turnout of families from across the Twin Cities at the event, exceeding all goals and technically filling the class. We’re excited to have shared this day with our newest Islander families! They consulted with teachers and department leaders, interacted with administrators and over 35 current student ambassadors, turned in all forms and the $350.00 registration deposit to secure the enrollment, AND did all of this while keeping a safe physical distance for each other’s health and smiles on their faces under their masks!
OF NOTE: Knowing that some families are still making final school decisions in the weeks to come, we are still accepting applications and registering ninth graders if we can meet a student’s academic and schedule needs, as well as the logistical needs of the family.
As of March 5, more than 97 percent of current students who will be in grades 10-11-12 next year have completed the course registration process, with most of the remaining few students telling us they expect to do so within days. As noted in previous communications, under the Continuous Enrollment policies of the school, DeLaSalle will add the $350.00 registration deposit for 2021-22 to the family’s current tuition agreement on the typical monthly payment date in March.
ALSO OF NOTE: We now turn our attention to prospective transfers and review of their applications for potential enrollment next year at DeLaSalle. We have received over 20 inquiries for incoming transfer since January 1, and we will begin registering incoming transfer students in mid-March.
Interested families are encouraged to contact Mike O’Keefe (612-676-7679) as soon as possible to learn more about DeLaSalle, admission criteria, the application process, and potential placement.
