As we begin this Advent, give light to our eyes and peace to our hearts.
May the Lord find us watching and waiting in joy when He comes.
We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

In the news…
DeLaSalle is operating under full distance learning for the rest of the first semester. Here’s what you need to know to be a successful student during this time.
DeLaSalle typically administers standardized tests to all students on the second Wednesday of each October. Students in grades 9-10-11 take developmentally appropriate standardized tests which help prepare them for college entrance exams. This year, we have had to spread out the tests to accommodate for COVID-19 safety protocols.
DeLaSalle will offer the Iowa Test of Educational Development to ninth grade students on Wednesday, January 27, from 8:30am-12:30pm. Tenth graders may take the Pre-ACT on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, from 8:30am-12:00pm. All students are strongly encouraged to take the test offered at their grade level but must opt-in by preregistering. Please click on the name of the test for a form that describes the test and provides specific logistics and registration. All tests are paper-pencil and given onsite following our Covid-19 school safety protocols.
Please complete the registration form for either exam by Friday, December 4.
DeLaSalle will offer a school-based ACT test to current students on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. We are excited to announce this opportunity as we do not know what testing centers will be open or closed this spring and summer, or how colleges will handle college entrance exams for the Class of 2022. This school-based test DOES NOT appear on the ACT website list of national test dates. You must register and pay for the test through DeLaSalle. The last day to register for the test is Friday, December 4. Please register here.
Juniors and parents – join us Wednesday at 7:00pm for a virtual information night to help with your college planning! We will cover what you need to know as an 11th grader, including testing, timeline for planning, how to choose colleges, types of colleges, and scholarships. You can find the Google Meet link on the Guidance page in Canvas. College advising staff will start letting people in at 6:40pm and start promptly at 7:00pm.
You can still get a yearbook from last year. 2019-20 yearbooks are available in the Main Office for $60. See Ms. Goeddeke with questions.
