“A Teenager’s Prayer”

Each day brings new beginnings
Decisions I must make
I am the only one to choose
The road that I will take.

I can choose to take the road of life
That leads to great success
Or travel down the darkened road
That leads to great distress.

Please open up my eyes Lord
That I might clearly see
Help me stand for what is right
Bring out the best in me.

Help, Lord, to just say “no”
When temptation comes my way
That I might keep my body clean
And fit for life each day.

When my teenage years are over
I know that I will see
That life is lived its very best
With you walking next to me.

In the news…

Starting Monday, November 23, DeLaSalle will transition to full distance learning for all students. You can learn more about the transition here, including what our schedule looks like starting on Monday and our expectations for you.

Gold Cohort students should bring all materials home with them at the end of the day today. This will be the last day of in-person classes for you as we transition to full distance learning on Monday for the rest of the semester. Thank you.

Seniors who wish to have their photo included in the school yearbook and in the class composite picture that hangs in the hallway must get a senior picture taken by David Bank Studios before December 15. A David Bank photographer will come to DeLaSalle for free TOMORROW. Please sign up for an appointment slot here. Photos will be taken in the DeLaSalle Main Gym. You may dress in school appropriate attire. Please remember to wear a mask into the building and follow physical distancing guidelines when you enter the school. Families may also schedule a photo session at the studio; sessions start at $35. Families who choose to have pictures at the studio can select which photo to be included in the yearbook.

Photographers from Lifetouch will take school pictures Thursday for Silver Cohort students. The photographer will be on campus until 4:00pm. Students in the Blue Cohort who wish to have their school picture taken after school may come after school on Thursday. Blue Cohort students should sign up here to indicate when they will have their picture taken. Students must be dressed in school uniform. Ninth grade and new transfer students had their school pictures taken in August.

Parents may review, select, and pay for a photo package through the Lifetouch website. Parents will have up to 48 hours after Picture Day to complete their online order. Please refer to DeLaSalle’s Picture Day ID EVTBPRTKB.

Calling all Seniors! We will be meeting (both on campus and online) to discuss this year’s 12 Days during WIN sessions on Tuesday. WIN #1 will be on campus, WIN #2 will be online. Please sign up to attend the meeting in SST. If you are unable to attend a WIN session but would still like to help, please contact Ms. Stecklein.

DeLaSalle will offer a school-based ACT test to current students on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. We are excited to announce this opportunity as we do not know what testing centers will be open or closed this spring and summer, or how colleges will handle college entrance exams for the Class of 2022. This school-based test DOES NOT appear on the ACT website list of national test dates. You must register and pay for the test through DeLaSalle. The last day to register for the test is Friday, December 4. Please register here.

DeLaSalle families may order a supply of healthy breakfast and lunches for the days when their student is not on campus because they are participating via distance learning.

  • Students participating in hybrid learning may order a meal kit that contains three breakfasts and three lunches each. Families may use this form to order the meal kits. Orders must be placed by noon on the first day the student attends in-person instruction (Monday or Thursday) and picked up outside the kitchen at the end of the school day on the last day they attend (Tuesday or Friday).
  • Students participating in full distance learning may also order a meal kit that contains five breakfasts and five lunches each. Orders should be placed by noon on Thursday for pickup at 3:00pm on Friday. Families may use this form to place the order. Starting the week of November 23, please use this form to order a distance learning meal kit.
