Dear Heavenly Father,
You created us.
All of us
You sent your beloved Son to redeem us.
All of us
You sent the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to us.
To comfort all of us.
Please fill our hearts with love, so that there is no room for hate.
Fill our minds with understanding, so that there is no room for fear.
Fill our eyes with wonder so that we may see only uniqueness, and not strangeness.
So that we may love, understand and enjoy our fellow brothers and sisters to your glory.

In the news…

Photographers from Lifetouch will take school pictures on Monday for Gold Cohort students and next Thursday for Silver Cohort students. The photographer will be on campus until 4:00pm on both days for students in the Blue Cohort who wish to have their school picture taken after school. Blue Cohort students should sign up here to indicate when they will have their picture taken. Students must be dressed in school uniform. Ninth grade and new transfer students had their school pictures taken in August.

Parents may review, select, and pay for a photo package through the Lifetouch website. Parents will have up to 48 hours after Picture Day to complete their online order. Please refer to DeLaSalle’s Picture Day ID EVTBPRTKB.

Seniors who wish to have their photo included in the school yearbook and in the class composite picture that hangs in the hallway must get a senior picture taken by David Bank Studios before December 15. A David Bank photographer will come to DeLaSalle for free this Wednesday. Please sign up for an appointment slot here. Photos will be taken in the DeLaSalle Main Gym. You may dress in school appropriate attire. Please remember to wear a mask into the building and follow physical distancing guidelines when you enter the school. Families may also schedule a photo session at the studio; sessions start at $35. Families who choose to have pictures at the studio can select which photo to be included in the yearbook.

Our school chaplain, Fr. Kevin Kenney ’78, will be on campus on Tuesday and is available to hear confessions. If any students, faculty or staff are interested in receiving the sacrament of Reconciliation or would like to meet with Fr. Kevin for a prayer or blessing, please contact Nicole Stecklein by Monday at 12:00pm and we will add you to the schedule.

Calling all Seniors! We will be meeting (both on campus and online) to discuss this year’s 12 Days during WIN sessions on Tuesday. WIN #1 will be on campus, WIN #2 will be online. Please sign up to attend the meeting in SST. If you are unable to attend a WIN session but would still like to help, please contact Ms. Stecklein.

DeLaSalle will offer a school-based ACT test to current students on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. We are excited to announce this opportunity as we do not know what testing centers will be open or closed this spring and summer, or how colleges will handle college entrance exams for the Class of 2022. This school-based test DOES NOT appear on the ACT website list of national test dates. You must register and pay for the test through DeLaSalle. The last day to register for the test is Friday, December 4. Please register here.

Black.Liberated.Knowledgeable will host a prayer march for equity on Wednesday, November 25, the six month anniversary of the death of George Floyd. The march will celebrate not only his life, but all the Black Lives that have been wrongfully, viciously, and unjustly taken away by what we are supposed to call our protectors, known as our local Law Enforcement. Our message is to remind the world that we are still FIGHTING in this battle FOR EQUITY. This is a non-violent protest, so please join us as we March for Equity.

Please RSVP here if you would like to be a chaperone at the event and so we can keep track of who is attending the debrief that follows. You can purchase BLK apparel like t-shirts, sweatshirts, and face masks here.

DeLaSalle families may order a supply of healthy breakfast and lunches for the days when their student is not on campus because they are participating via distance learning.

  • Students participating in hybrid learning may order a meal kit that contains three breakfasts and three lunches each. Families may use this form to order the meal kits. Orders must be placed by noon on the first day the student attends in-person instruction (Monday or Thursday) and picked up outside the kitchen at the end of the school day on the last day they attend (Tuesday or Friday).
  • Students participating in full distance learning may also order a meal kit that contains five breakfasts and five lunches each. Orders should be placed by noon on Thursday for pickup at 3:00pm on Friday. Families may use this form to place the order.
