Thank you to all for sharing the good news about DeLaSalle! Even as we adapt in the interests of health and well-being, we have heard throughout the fall of the MANY kind referrals from current families who continue to encourage friends, neighbors, relatives, and colleagues to take a look at DeLaSalle.
Because of the success of the first event – and before winter weather fully sets in – we are now adding a second “Drive-Up Open House” on Saturday, November 14, welcoming prospective families anytime from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Families may stop by for a few minutes or stay for a longer visit and enjoy a sunny November day (we checked the forecast today), meeting our awesome students and staff, and seeing all that DeLaSalle AND historic Nicollet Island, St. Anthony Falls, and the riverfront have to offer!
On the 14th, we will be distributing print materials that had been prepared for prospective families, we’ll offer campus tours, host the second-ever Great Islander Scavenger Hunt, with refreshments, some DeLaSalle swag for all, and prizes for many attendees. The building tours will be offered to families in groups of 2-3 families throughout the morning. We hope that, by your visiting us on the 14th, families may have a better sense of our campus and how we deliver the curriculum and programming to our students each day. Many students and staff will be here to greet our guests and share their own De stories.
The Drive-Up Open House replicates one component of the “re-imagined calendar” for prospective families this fall, the “Open House Weekend” on October 24 and 26. Well over 200 families attended one or both of the events, the first Drive-Up Open House on Saturday morning and a Live/Virtual Open House on Monday evening. We were honored to see such interest and to be kept so busy on that weekend and in the days to follow. (And yes, we will offer a second Live/Virtual Open House in early December – more details to follow.)
The Admissions Office is receiving inquiries every day from parents of eighth graders about the 2021-22 school year. “Islanders are (indeed) Everywhere,” and we are enjoying the conversations with the prospective families and students from all corners of the Twin Cities.
Weekday Parent/Student Tours throughout Fall
We have been busy each day, meeting great families for lengthier, on-campus tours every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Due to 2020-21 safety protocols, we are unable to host guest students as day-long visitors, but opportunities are available for morning, midday, and late afternoon family tours that fit work and middle school schedules. Please click here to register for a day and time that fits your schedule.
We’re always honored to introduce our family to yours. Families with questions or seeking more information should contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 612-676-7679.
