DeLaSalle proudly congratulates all 166 graduates in the Class of 2020. High school did not end at all how anyone had expected because of the novel coronavirus pandemic. But we believe it is important to celebrate each graduate for their accomplishments over the past four years.
DeLaSalle honored the Class of 2020 with a virtual Commencement on Thursday, May 21, at 6:45pm. During this prerecorded ceremony, we honored each individual graduate by name as we would if we were able to hold Commencement at the Basilica of St. Mary. Our commencement featured reflections from DeLaSalle President Barry Lieske, Midwest District of Christian Brothers Visitor Michael Fehrenbach, faculty, and student speakers Nick Ericksen ’20 and Sydney Riley ’20.
DeLaSalle faculty and staff will personally deliver diplomas and any awards that graduates have received during a Diploma Distribution program. Students will also receive a free t-shirt thanks to the generous donation of a current parent. A staff member will deliver the diploma package to each graduate at his or her home. Diploma distribution will begin on Wednesday, May 27. We will communicate additional details soon about time and other logistics.
The DeLaSalle Art Department would like to celebrate its graduating seniors! Each student was asked to create a portfolio of their favorite artwork to share with the community. Congratulations!
