Even as we finish perhaps the most unique year in the 120-year history of DeLaSalle, our thoughts have turned to next year and the next decade. We are working with orientation and transition for the already-registered families in the Class of 2024, we have begun registering incoming transfer students for fall, and we are receiving new inquiries every day for transfer and ninth grade enrollment for 2020-21. It’s exciting to connect with new families and students every day.
Obviously, the challenges presented by COVID-19 and a closed campus have changed some of our typical procedures. Much like the successful implementation of online school at DeLaSalle, however, we are still enjoying good conversations with parents and students, we are exchanging information with families in a practical and meaningful way, and together – as family and school — we are finding solutions to short-term setbacks.
Our online Enrollment Orientation program for the Class of 2024 on May 2 was very well attended. We are following up as needed for the entire class or for individual parents and students, and we are doing all we can to meet the needs that have emerged this spring for several families. Along the way, we are learning all the more good things about the students who had registered at DeLaSalle back in February, particularly their commitment to partner with DeLaSalle at this time. It’s inspiring. More than ever, we are looking forward to a successful school year in 2020-21.
Prospective transfers are contacting us as well. The school is still accepting applications for the coming year and placing students at all four grade levels as limited space is still available. We are conducting transfer interviews and placing new students, provided the student meets admission criteria and a course schedule and tuition contract can be built at this point in the admission cycle. We encourage all interested families to contact us as soon as possible.
Prospective families are encouraged to contact email@example.com to learn more about DeLaSalle, admission criteria, the application process, and potential placement. One of our admissions staff will be sure to respond and help with the next steps. As always, we look forward to the conversations to come.
