DeLaSalle Online School · March 18-26
God, please keep me, my family, and my friends safe as we navigate these challenging times. I place my trust in the plans of hope and prosperity you have for me. Amen

On Wednesday, March 18 students will meet with all of their teachers. Classes will be 20-minutes in length. Starting Wednesday, students will have four classes per day, scheduled in one hour blocks. This schedule will be in place through March 27. To get us started, here is the schedule for March 18- 20.
In the news…
The soft launch of DeLaSalle Online School that had been scheduled for Tuesday will instead happen on Wednesday.
For each of your classes, you will join a Google Hangout Meet with your teacher for a live session with your classmates. Each teacher will post the Meet link on each course’s homepage. When joining the Google Meet, you should have your microphone muted. If you would like to speak, we ask that you use the built-in chat messaging to request to unmute. This will assist your teacher in facilitating the class, and give you and your fellow students the best learning experience possible.
Students will be meeting with their teacher and classmates at specific times and will have responsibilities to engage in the class, as students would if they were meeting with their teacher face-to-face. Attendance will be taken during class. If a student is not in attendance without an excuse, that will be considered a skip and will be handled by the deans. All online interaction is an extension of the physical classroom, and expectations of students’ behavior online is the same as what we would expect in the classroom.
Students will attend all of their classes on Wednesday. On Thursday, our rotating schedule begins. Please see DeLaSalle’s schedule for March 16-20 for more details.
Tech support will be available by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 612.676.7678. When leaving a voicemail, please remember to include your name, a number at which you can be reached, and a brief overview of your question. Additionally, the Islanders Course has a new button on its home page, and we will house tips and reminders that will help you during Online School.
Several different applications will be pushed out to your iPad, including but not limited to: Google Meet, Flipgrid, Ed Puzzle, Genius Scan, and Khan Academy. If there is not enough space on your device, you must delete personal apps/photos and videos to make room for these school apps. Students should not delete any of these apps as you will be using them during DeLaSalle Online School.
The Tech Department will address any student issues as soon as possible, but please be patient as we work to support all students in having a successful online school experience.
In the interest of everyone’s safety, students are not permitted on campus unless cleared by an administrator. Students who need to come to campus to pick up an item must reach out to the Dean of Students Office by emailing email@example.com or by calling the office number at 612-676-7661 or 612-676-7667.
All student activities are postponed until further notice. This includes the scheduled performances of the spring musical “Catch Me If You Can.”
DeLaSalle communicated on Monday with the families of those students who receive free and reduced lunch benefits. The school will deliver meals to those students. Please contact food service director Pam Beckman with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. ― Galatians 5:13
