From Reverend Herbert Yost, C.S.C.
Dear Lord, we so much want to live in the light of your faithfulness. Help us never to become complacent in our journey with you. Guide us to be more giving—better listeners, slower to judge, and champions of others. Amen.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle – Pray for us!
Live Jesus in our Hearts – Forever

In the news…

All are welcome to join Lasallian Ministry for Mass with Father Bruno on Tuesday mornings at 8:00am in the school chapel. The chapel is located in Christian Brothers Hall through the Lasallian Ministry office.

DeLaSalle students will have the opportunity to receive the sacrament of reconciliation, speak with a priest, and engage in quiet prayer and reflection during the season of lent with their classmates.

Students will attend reconciliation during periods 2 and 3 on the following dates:

  • March 3: 12th grade
  • March 10: 11th grade
  • March 17: 10th grade
  • March 24: 9th grade

The Stations of the Cross are a very intentional way for us to remember, pray, and reflect on Jesus’ suffering and death. Students and staff are invited to pray the Stations of the Cross on Tuesdays during lunches.

Stations will take place at 11:20am (Period 4), 12:13pm (Period 5), and 1:00pm (Period 6).

Parents and guardians of DeLaSalle students are invited to conference with teachers regarding their student’s academic progress today between 1:00pm and 8:00pm.

You do not need an appointment to conference with a teacher. As students and parents can benefit by hearing the same commendations and recommendations from teachers, we strongly suggest students and parents attend conferences and participate in these conversations together.

There are no classes today.

Good luck to the girls’ basketball team, who will play Hermantown today at 10:00am at Maturi Pavilion in the quarterfinal of the Class 3A state tournament.

Although classes are not scheduled due to conferences, morning transportation routes will run on the regular schedule to pick up and transport students to DeLaSalle. Afternoon transportation routes will leave from DeLaSalle at 1:00pm to provide students a ride home after the game.

You can buy your ticket to the quarterfinal game in advance. Tickets are on sale today 8:00-9:00am in Albers Atrium. Tickets cost $10 for students and $16 for adults.

The DeLaSalle Cafe will be open 7:45-8:45am for a light breakfast.

If the Islanders win, there will be an adjusted schedule tomorrow. Students would attend classes 1, 2, 7, and 8 and would be encouraged to wear their Islander wear to school. Fan buses would load at 11:30am. If the Islanders don’t win, there will be a regular day of school tomorrow. Details will be included in tomorrow’s edition of The Source which will publish at 9:00pm this evening.

See the Winter Sports Playoffs page for more information. Go Islanders!

Good luck to the boys’ basketball team as they face Waconia in the section final. The game is tomorrow at 7:00pm at Chanhassen High School. The Islanders are the top seed in the section; Waconia is the #2 seed.

For those who are interested, there will be a fan bus. The bus will depart from DeLaSalle at 5:45pm. Please sign up by 5:00pm today.

A reminder – everyone must pay to attend the game. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Go Islanders!

All members of the Class of 2023 are invited to a special event tomorrow morning at 8:00am in the L.L. Gray Gym.
