With the application deadlines for next year’s ninth grade looming, DeLaSalle announces additional opportunities for eighth grade students to take a make-up Entrance Exam.
- Saturday, January 15 – 9:00 a.m. to Noon
- Saturday, January 22 – 9:00 a.m. to Noon
- Sunday, January 23 – Noon to 3:00 p.m.
- Saturday, February 29 – 9:00 a.m. to Noon
Most make-up exams will be offered in the Admission Office in Christian Brothers Hall, the building which faces Grove Street on the north (or back) side of the campus. If more than 10 students sign up for any individual exam, we will move to the Schulze Lab in the main school building. You will receive an email the day prior to the exam with specific instructions. Please pre-register for one of these make-up exams by clicking here or by calling Mike O’Keefe at 612-676-7679 or Christian Glanville at 612-676-7618. DeLaSalle charges no fee for the exam and provides all test materials, including pencils.
While DeLaSalle will continue to accept applications after the February 11 deadline, it is strongly recommended that students complete their applications by this date. By the 11th, students must submit (1) an application, (2) a copy of middle school transcripts, (3) at least one letter of recommendation from a current teacher, and (4) take the Entrance Exam. If a family submits three letters of recommendation, the applicant will be considered both for potential admission and potential merit scholarship.
All application materials — as well as a link to the Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS) financial aid application portal — are available here.
Families may choose to take advantage of an “early decision” option in 2022. Those who complete their application by January 28 will receive an admission decision from DeLaSalle by February 4; those who apply by the regular deadline of February 11 are not penalized in any way, but they would not receive a response until February 18.
All eighth graders who are offered admission are invited to register for ninth grade at DeLaSalle on Saturday, February 26. It’s likely that we will fill the Class of 2026 on that date. As always, thank you for your continued interest in DeLaSalle!
