No Classes Monday, October 21 Due to Professional Development

There will be no classes on Monday, October 21, as DeLaSalle faculty and staff join colleagues from other Lasallian high schools in the Twin Cities for professional development at Benilde-St. Margaret’s. This is a change from the school calendar that has previously been communicated. Ray Petifils, author of “Helping Teens with Stress, Anxiety and Depression,” will speak to staff from DeLaSalle, Benilde-St. Margaret’s, Cretin-Derham Hall, Holy Family, and Totino-Grace. This is the second time staff from the five Lasallian schools have all gathered for professional development; the last occurred in October 2017.

Picture Retake Day Friday, September 27

DeLaSalle students who were not present for Picture Day in August or who wish to have their picture retaken may do so during Picture Retake Day on Friday, September 27. Students who want their picture retaken should bring the first set of school pictures to return. Parents may order pictures on the Lifetouch website using the DeLaSalle PIcture ID EVTHG7Q3H.

Families May Request Transportation Reimbursement

Some, though not all, school districts provide DeLaSalle families an opportunity to request transportation assistance for eligible students who are legal residents of that school district. The primary contact in each household received an email this week with a link to complete a form requesting reimbursement, known as Form 1000. De families requesting reimbursement must click on the link and complete the form before October 6. All families who live outside the MInneapolis city limits and receive transportation through DeLaSalle must complete and submit the form as part of their transportation contract agreement.

Students Should Update iPad to iOS 12.4.1
DeLaSalle asked students this week to update their iPad to the newest operating system — iOS 12.4.1. This update contains a vital security update for all devices. Students were instructed to complete the update by today. The update should be done at home and not at school. Students who do not have access to WiFi at home may dorp their device off at the IT Office (D217) and the school’s IT staff will update the device for students.

Plus, you can meet other students, staff, parents, alumni and friends while enjoying a catered dinner and performances by our student singers and musicians. Join the fun!

Ninth Grade Class Mass Tuesday

In addition to all-school liturgies, students in each grade will gather as a class this fall to celebrate Mass. School chaplain, Fr. Bruno Nwachukwu, will celebrate each Mass at nearby Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The ninth grade class will gather for Mass on Tuesday, September 24. Students should report to their first hour class and then will dismiss to the Florance Center for a grade level meeting before departing for Mass.
