Breathe in me O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy.

Act in me O Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy.

Draw my heart O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy.

Strengthen me O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy.

Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy. Amen.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

In the news…

Join us as the DeLaSalle community gathers for the opening school year Mass today at 9:00am. The Mass of the Holy Spirit is offered to ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in all parts of our life in the new school year. We welcome Bishop Andrew Cozzens as our Mass celebrant. Bishop Cozzens will join us following the Mass as we dedicate our new prayer grotto between the B building and Christian Brothers Hall.

This fall, students in each grade will gather as a class for Mass at the nearby Our Lady of Lourdes Church with school chaplain, Fr. Bruno. Seniors will have the first class Mass on Tuesday. Students should check in to their first hour teacher for attendance then report to the Florance Center for a grade level meeting before leaving for Mass.

The University of Notre Dame, Washington University in St. Louis, Johns Hopkins University, and Emory University admission representatives look forward to seeing you soon! During our program for students and parents, our universities will host a presentation and then be available for individual conversation afterward. In August and September 2019, admission officers from our universities will host a group presentation and then be available for questions during an hour and a half program for you and your family in the following areas.

Please be sure to RSVP.

Sunday, September 15 at 1:00 PM | St Paul Academy and Summit School – St. Paul, MN

About Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea: Professor Aronnax, and her assistant, Conseil, are tasked by the US government to discover what kind of creature is attacking ships across the oceans in 1866. Along with Ned Land, king of harpooners, they are quickly introduced to the cause of all the destruction – The uncanny submarine, Nautilus, and it’s captain, the mysterious Nemo. What begins as a hunt becomes an undersea journey where our heroes must battle countless adversaries both human and monstrous along the way, all while witnessing the possibilities of science and the dark depths of the human mind.

Audition Preparation: Twenty Thousand Leagues is an adventure tale and the director is looking for students to bring energy and fun to their audition. No need to prepare as audition sides will be available the day of the audition. If you prefer to prepare a monologue, please limit your piece to two minutes.

For questions, email Mr. Buffington.
