Important Back-to-School Information for DeLaSalle Families
DeLaSalle teachers, staff, coaches and moderators are excited to welcome students back-to-school for the 2019-20 school year. To ensure your family is ready for the first day of classes on Monday, August 26, please review the following essential items checklist.

Complete required back-to-school forms

On July 12, DeLaSalle emailed the primary contact in each household with a link to complete required annual Back-to-School forms. Thank you to the many families who have already completed these forms. If you have not yet completed the forms, please do so by August 2. The primary contact in each household should have received this and follow-up emails from communications@delasalle.com; parents with multiple children received a separate email for each child. Families should check their email inbox for the message; look in your junk or spam folder if the message does not appear in your inbox.

Participate in a required school orientation and collect school-issued iPad

The back-to-school email also included important information about required school orientation for new students and iPad pick up for returning students. Families of returning students must sign up to pick up an iPad on either Wednesday, August 14 or Wednesday, August 21. New Student Orientation for all ninth grade and new transfer students will be held on Thursday, August 22, and new families are invited back to DeLaSalle for New Family Orientation the evening of August 22. As the start of school approaches, parents often want to know more about their child’s school bus route, stop, as well as pick-up and drop-off times. .
  • For those students residing in Minneapolis who requested busing as part of 2019-20 registration, Minneapolis & Suburban/Monarch Bus Company will begin mailing postcards in early August with the route and stop information. If you do not receive your postcard, please contact Brooks Shelstad and we will work to confirm arrangements as quickly as we can.
  • For those students residing in St. Paul and suburbs who have requested transportation through DeLaSalle, route information will be emailed directly to students / families the weekend of August 5.

This grotto, a place for solemn reflection and expression of faith, will be installed over the next school year in the space between the B Building and Christian Brothers’ Hall. If you are interested in celebrating with the De community on this day, please contact the Office for Advancement.

Around DeLaSalle

We are always improving!  What you see here is the start of a new Makerspace on the 3rd floor of the B Building. This new classroom area will be used by science classes and will allow students to experience learning in innovative, collaborative, and literally “hands-on” ways. The room will be outfitted with a variety of materials that our excellent educators are eager to incorporate into their curriculum. Come to Back to School Night on Wednesday, September 4 to see the finished product!
