DeLaSalle Honors “DeLaSalle Award” and “Islander Award” Recipients

DeLaSalle honored 18 seniors, at a year-end convocation before the whole school community, with the highest awards earned by graduating students – the “DeLaSalle Award” and “Islander Award.” The awards recognize significant and broad contributions to the community and school’s legacy in areas of exemplary academic performance, personal character, and service to school and community. These seniors will formally receive their awards at the Senior Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 22 following the Baccalaurate Mass. All seniors will be honored, with individual seniors to be recognized in academic departments, co-curricular programs, and more. Continue reading

All graduates and their families will join the school to celebrate and bless the end of high school years at the Baccalaureate Mass and Senior Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, May 22, at 6:30pm, in the Main Gymnasium. The evening also includes the complete Senior Awards program and recognition of each senior, as well as a reception hosted by our Alumni Association. Limited Enrollment Space Available in All Four Grades

As of early May, it is likely that DeLaSalle will begin the 2019-20 school year with another strong enrollment, potentially growing slightly in the coming year and certainly meeting the goals of the school’s strategic plan. The school is still accepting applications and in most cases, still able to place a new registrant at all grade levels for the coming year. Interested families are encouraged to contact either Mike O’Keefe at 612-676-7679 or Lourdes Bunay at 612-676-7665 as soon as possible to learn more about DeLaSalle, admission criteria, the application process, and potential placement. Around DeLaSalle

DeLaSalle had the rare opportunity this week to host a first-class relic of the namesake of our school, Saint John Baptist de La Salle. We received a small bone chip of the saint during our year-end convocation on Monday, May 13 and placed the relic in the display case on the second floor of the B Building. If a student cannot attend, he or she may pick up or purchase a yearbook at school in the IT Office (D217) on Monday, May 20.

DeLaSalle Accepting Gently Used Uniform Donations

Seniors: If you have gently-used uniform items that you would like to donate to the loaner closet, please bring them to the Administration Office (D200) at any time. Donations can be dropped off throughout the summer as well. Future generations of Islanders thank you!
