Wednesday, April 17, 2019 (opens in a new window)

Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Lord, thank You for Your greatness. Thank You that when I am weak, You are strong. Give me a measure of Your strength so that I might not give into discouragement, deception, and doubt! Help me honor You in all my ways. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

All seniors will participate in a full day class retreat today. Organized by Lasallian Ministry, the retreat helps students gain healthy closure on their high school years. Students should check in to their first hour class for attendance and then go to the Florance Center to board buses for the off-campus retreat location. Students should wear their school uniform and bring a bag lunch. Please contact Peg Hodapp with questions.

DeLaSalle will bring to a close its observance of the 40-day season of Lent with a school-wide prayer service on Thursday. The prayer service, which occurs on Holy Thursday, also marks the beginning of the Easter Triduum, the three holiest days for Catholics, who acknowledge the celebration of the first Eucharist, Christ’s death on the Cross on Good Friday, and the vigil that leads to His Resurrection on Easter Sunday.

The Library will be closed during the school day Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, because ninth grade English classes will be working on a project. This means that students who are in class, study hall, or lunch may not get a pass to the library. The library will reopen for its normal after school hours.

It’s Prom season at DeLaSale – and this year’s Junior/Senior Prom will honor Prince with a “Purple Reign” theme. The Prom is Saturday, April 27, from 7:30pm-12:00am, at the Nicollet Island Pavilion. A Grand March will be held in the Florance Center at 6:30pm. Individual tickets cost $75 before Wednesday, April 17, or $85 after that date, and must be purchased by the end of the day on Wednesday, April 24. Tickets include a buffet dinner at the Pavilion. Visit the Prom webpage for more information.

The 2019 Senior Graduation Party will take place following graduation, Thursday, May 23 to Friday, May 24. The evening will include transportation, food, fun, games, more food, gift bags, and fabulous prizes! Cost is $75 (scholarships are available from Ms. Halbach).
