Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Lord our God, help us who have listened in the name of Jesus Christ and heard the good tidings. Help us come with our whole hearts to the Savior, who leads us into your arms.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

In today’s news…

DeLaSalle will celebrate its Catholic identity during Catholic Schools Week, while also giving students an escape from winter through Winterfest.

As a reminder, all out-of-uniform guidelines from the Student-Parent handbook are in effect for Winterfest Week: This means “No yoga pants, halter tops, tank tops, or bare midriffs; no sunglasses; and only knee length shorts and skits will be permitted” at any time during the week. Students in violation of these guidelines will be required to wear a uniform from the loaner closet.

  • Today’s Out of Uniform: Pajama Day
Come to school looking like you just rolled out of bed, bring a blanket or your favorite stuffed animal.
  • Tomorrow’s Out of Uniform: Fan Friday
Islanders may dress in support of their favorite band, team or sport.

DeLaSalle students participate each year in a grade level retreat that is planned through Lasallian Ministry. The 10th grade retreat is Friday, February 8, and will focus on building community and serving others. This is a full day retreat; students may dress in the Catholic Schools Week/Winterfest “Fan Friday” theme. Students should leave their iPad and other belongings at home or school, and bring a bag lunch.

Juniors will participate in a college planning day instead of their regular classes on Friday, February 8. As students rotate among breakout sessions, college admission representatives and others will present on topics including visiting colleges; the application process; financial aid and scholarships; testing skills for the ACT and SAT; the NCAA, arts, and medical careers; and an alumni panel. Students may dress in the Catholic Schools Week/Winterfest “Fan Friday” theme.
