Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Lord, I come before you ready to pour out my worries, anxieties and fears at Your feet. I am claiming and declaring Your promises for blessings of peace and strength over my life. Bring a peace into my soul that passes all worldly understanding and make me a light for others to see Your strength. Amen.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

In today’s news…

DeLaSalle will hold an online learning day today for students as faculty and staff also participate in professional development. Students will not report to school for classes, but will complete their assignments and coursework online. Faculty will publish their class assignments by 9:00am and will be available at times throughout the day to remotely work with students.

DeLaSalle will be closed and there are no classes in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. federal holiday on Monday, January 21. Islanders will celebrate the life and legacy of Reverend King with an all-school prayer service on the morning of Tuesday, January 22.

DeLaSalle Theatre is looking to add a few more cast members to the spring musical, Newsies!

Come on out January 24th, at 3pm in room D117. We will dance, sing and read from provided sides. We’re looking to fill 5 roles, 3 guys and 2 gals. 2 roles are speaking roles only, no signing or dancing required. All students, regardless of experience and skill levels, are encouraged to audition.

If you have questions, please email Mr. Buffington at jbuffington@delasalle.com

Juniors who plan to take the April 13 ACT exam may now register for a prep class that will help prepare them for the test. Classes are Mondays, starting February 25. The 3:15-5:15pm class time has filled but space is still available in the 5:30-7:30pm class. The class costs $225; students who qualify for free and reduced lunch will pay $50. Click here for more information. You may click here to register. Please contact Mary Ann Dorsher with questions.

Please look over this form for two scholarships that we would like students to be aware of. The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation and the Wallin Education Partners have partnered with DeLaSalle to provide opportunities to help students finance their college education.

All juniors are invited to apply for DeLaSalle’s Alumni Scholarships. There are four different scholarships awarded with amounts ranging from $250-$1000 to be used for your senior year at De. The link to apply was sent to all juniors on Monday, January 14. The deadline for applications is February 25, 2019.

Applications are now available for driver’s education classes, which will be offered in April, June, and late July/early August. Classes are limited to the first 25 students who register with a $200 down payment. Click here for class dates and applications.
