Christmas Concert Recording Available

Thank you to all who took time to attend and support DeLaSalle students in the A Cappella choir, Bel Canto choir, Concert Band, Orchestra, and Symphonic Band who performed in the Christmas Concert this week. In case you missed the performance, you can watch a recorded version of our livestream here.

Parents in Prayer Meets Monday

The DeLaSalle Parents in Prayer group will spend the lunch hour on Monday, December 17 offering up prayers for the DeLaSalle community. The group will meet from 12:00-1:00pm in D207, the creative side of the Thies Lab. The group of De parents and family members gathers on campus once a month to lift up our community in prayer. All parents, family members, friends, and alumni are welcome to participate. We hope students, staff, families and friends at DeLaSalle will feel encouraged by the knowledge that people care about them, are excited for them and are PRAYING FOR THEM! You may submit prayer requests, which may remain anonymous, to prayer boxes located in the main office, Lasallian Ministry, or Theology classrooms.

Prospective Families Express Strong Interest in Class of 2023

DeLaSalle is grateful for your many kind referrals throughout the fall.  The Admissions Office has been quite busy working with more than 500 families who have taken one or more of the following steps toward joining our community next year — they have inquired, toured as individual families, set up a student visit in November or December, come to the October Open House, and for many, already started an application for admission even though the deadline is still two months away.  What an exciting time for De! The final Open House for Prospective Families is Wednesday, January 16, from 7:00-9:00. The Entrance Exam for Incoming Ninth Graders (and corresponding Parent Seminar) is on Saturday, January 19, from 8:30-11:30. The application deadline for all early admission decisions for the Class of 2023 is on Friday, February 15. Thanks again for encouraging your family, friends, neighbors and colleagues to consider DeLaSalle.  For more information, please contact Mike O’Keefe at 612-676-7679 or Lourdes Bunay at 612-676-7665.

Renowned Graphic Designer and Students Create DeLaSalle Mural

A 1967 DeLaSalle graduate, who is a world-renowned graphic designer and marketing executive, has collaborated with current visual arts students to create and paint a mural for his alma mater. Joe Duffy ‘67 and students are painting the mural on the wall inside the “A” building lobby. The mural features several images that reflect DeLaSalle’s longevity and connection to the rich history of Nicollet Island. Continue reading

Christmas Break December 24-January 4

There are no classes at DeLaSalle December 24-January 4 as we observe Christmas break. The school will be closed December 25 for Christmas and January 1 for New Year’s Day but will be open during normal business hours from 8:00am-4:00pm all other weekdays. Please note that many staff choose to take time off during the break. You may find how to individually contact a staff member through our online staff directory. There will be an edition of “Looking Ahead at DeLaSalle” on December 21, but the next issue after that will not come out until Friday, January 4, 2019. The second semester begins on Monday, January 7.
