Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

O God, You give blessed Ambrose to Your people as a minister of eternal salvation; grant, we pray You, that as on earth he was a teacher of supernatural life, so we may deserve to have him as our intercessor in heaven. Amen.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

In today’s news…

Students, faculty, and staff will gather today for a Mass to celebrate the traditional December 8 Holy Day, which recognizes that the Blessed Virgin Mary was conceived without original sin. The Mass will also celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Concelebrating the Mass with school chaplain, Fr. Bruno Nwachukwu, will be Fr. Kevin Kenney ‘78, pastor of Divine Mercy in Fairbault and a member of the DeLaSalle Board of Trustees.

Ms. Stipkovits will be going into 9th grade English classrooms this week to do presentations. Students will review and interpret their IOWA results (students will receive a hard copy of their scores to bring home) and take a career inventory on Naviance.

If you would like to go on a tour of HBCU’s (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) with other students in the community, there is an informational meeting this Sunday at Progressive Baptist Church. You will receive information about how you can apply to be a part of the spring tour group. This is a great opportunity with an established program. See attached flyer.
As you do your Christmas shopping, consider giving the gift of DeLaSalle spirit wear this holiday season. The DeLaSalle School Store is open from 3:00-6:00pm Monday-Thursday. You may also purchase items online here. Please note, to guarantee that your gift arrives in time for Christmas, please place your online order no later than midnight on Sunday, December 9.
Students preparing for the Winter Musical invite you to join them for Christmas caroling at Catholic Elder Care. Join the cast of the Winter Play on Tuesday, Dec. 11th from 3:15-4:45pm. Bus will depart from the Lasallian Ministry office. Sign up here.
Winter Break is the perfect time for students to start planning their summer jobs and earn a Lifeguard Certification! The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) Lifeguards starting wage is $11.25/hr and everyone will receive a pay increase on June 1st . In an effort to overcome the price barrier of the certification course, we have a course reimbursement process as well as a scholarship opportunity.

Our lifeguard course scholarship reduces the cost to $5 for applicants exhibiting financial need. This scholarship application goes into more detail. Students interested in applying for the Lifeguard Scholarship can send their application to or mail them to MPRB Headquarters

Additionally, if a Lifeguard works an average of 32 hours per week with us over the course of the summer we will reimburse the cost of their certification class in their last paycheck of the summer. If interested or have any questions, please see Mr. C.J. Hallman.

If you are interested in joining the DeLaSalle Step Team, please sign up using this online form. The Step Team will begin practicing 2nd semester. For more details, please e-mail Ms. Hodapp at
