DeLaSalle received great news this past week! AdvancEd, one of the nation’s largest school accreditation agencies with almost 25,000 schools on their client list, has recognized DeLaSalle as the Minnesota recipient of their “Excellence in Education” award for 2018
AdvancED bestows the award on one school in each state for “demonstrating unparalleled leadership to promote and advance excellence in education.” Principal Jim Benson will accept the award for DeLaSalle at a ceremony October 30 in Schaumburg, Illinois.
DeLaSalle completed its latest accreditation in 2017-18, which included a full year of self-study, accumulation of data from student performance as well as student and parent surveys, interviews with over 100 stakeholders, and a required on-campus visit and assessment by a team of professional educators. The school thanks parents and students for their candid and exceptionally positive assessments of DeLaSalle as part of the accreditation process.
The accreditation, current through 2023, gives DeLaSalle a “stamp of approval” with colleges, foundations, families and others, but it also presents a regular opportunity for schools to focus on self-assessment of strengths , challenges, strategies and forward-thinking priorities.
DeLaSalle was first accredited in 1929.
