Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Saint Matthew, as an apostle, you were an extension of Jesus in the world.
You got to see his kindness and mercy displayed first hand and then were asked to share it with all people.
Help me to imitate Jesus by demonstrating true kindness and mercy to others. Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

You may show your teacher your iPad with the registration on Naviance as your pass. In today’s news…

Homecoming Week starts Monday! Homecoming is a chance for us to celebrate our tradition and history at DeLaSalle and acknowledge the thousands of alumni who have come before us.

On Monday, and throughout the week, you may dress out of uniform. Monday’s out of uniform theme is Pajama Day. Show up like you just rolled out of bed. Throw on your favorite pajamas, slippers, or bathrobe and head to class!

Click here to find more Homecoming Week information.

You can now vote for the Homecoming royalty. Check your email for a link to vote for four young men and four young women from your class. Voting closes at the end of lunches on Monday. We will see who will win the red rose next Friday at the Homecoming Pepfest.

Junior and senior girls can sign up now for the Homecoming powderpuff football game, which will be on Friday, September 28 from 5:00-7:00pm at DeLaSalle. You can find the signup sheet outside the Student Activities office. Signups close after school Thursday. Players should also watch their emails for information on practices and any other information from their coaches. Email Hannah Omodt with questions.

If you are interested in bringing a non-DeLaSalle student to the Homecoming dance on Saturday, September 29, you must fill out and turn in a completed guest form to the attendance office by Wednesday, September 26. Guest forms can be found in the attendance office.

Join us for another great LEAP discussion. This week we will be discussing racial equity in schools and workplace. LEAP takes place during all lunches in the Theis Lab (creative side) across from the library.

All are welcome to join us in the Chapel (Christian Brothers Hall) for the following prayer opportunities:

  • Monday Morning Prayer – Mondays at 7:45am
  • Pray the Rosary – Wednesdays at 3:15pm
  • After school Mass with Fr. Brunoon – Tuesday afternoons at 3:15pm on Oct. 9, 16, & 23.

Hope to see you there!

This is a great way to meet and share our faith with other high school students across the Archdiocese. Twin Cities Nonviolent is coordinating 10 Days Free From Violence September 21-30. During these 10 days, they are offering numerous events and activities across the Twin Cities. All events are listed on the Twin Cities Nonviolent webpage. Interested in attending an event with other students? Contact Ms. Stecklein in Lasallian Ministry if you would like to help coordinate school attendance at a specific event.

On Saturday, September 22, DeLaSalle community members are invited to attend the annual powwow in Mankato, Minnesota. We will depart DLS at 9:00 a.m. and will return by 6:30 p.m. Please complete this form if you would like to participate.

DeLaSalle students have the opportunity now to sign up and express their interest in participating in a student activity or winter sport. Students received an email this week with a link to share their interest in various clubs and organizations on campus. We encourage them to respond by Friday, September 21. An email with a link to register for winter sports will be sent next week. Signing up does not require a student to participate, though coaches and moderators will use the information to reach out and share more information about their activity or sport. Please contact the Student Activities office with any further questions.
Students, are you looking for ways to earn Christian Service hours? This resource provides some opportunities organized by DeLaSalle teachers and staff. You can check back periodically to see as service opportunities are added. Don’t forget, you can always contact Mr. Hallman if you need help finding other possible service opportunities.
