August 2018

Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Dear Lord,
We pray for our school to be place of great discovery, adventure, and creativity.
May it be a place where we love to learn and where we learn to love,
A place where every one is respected and all are deeply valued.
We ask all this through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

As we prepare for the 2018-19 school year, faculty and staff will gather for employee orientation the week of August 13. Staff will be on campus, but there are some meetings that week in which all staff must be present, especially on Monday, Aug. 13 and Tuesday, Aug. 14. We suggest you call ahead as staff may not be immediately available to respond to a phone call or email. As a reminder, regular business hours of 7:30am-4:30pm resume on Monday, August 20. On Monday, August 20, classes are in session from 8:30am-3:00pm. School bus service will begin this day. Students are in school uniform. Remember to bring your iPad, charged and ready to go! This is the day that lockers are assigned (DeLaSalle provides the locks). Each teacher will share course expectations with students and distribute course materials.

All locker assignments and combinations will be sent via email this year. For personal safety and security all students should ONLY use the locker and lock that is assigned to them. Please communicate with the deans, Mr. Lemon or Ms. Gillund, if you have locker questions or concerns or if you do not receive an email with your assigned locker information. Email: Office: B-209.

Families are reminded that all students who receive financial aid based on need for the 2018-19 school year are required to schedule and complete 10 hours of work-service in return for their grant. (Students who receive only a Presidential Scholarship are not required to complete work-service.) Many students have completed their required work-service during the summer. Most students still need to schedule their 10 hours of work-service during the school year. Parents should contact Kyle Huggar at 612.676.7600 to do so.
