Salute to Graduates 2018 from DeLaSalle High School on Vimeo.

Congratulations to the Class of 2018!

On Thursday, May 24th, 2018, the DeLaSalle community celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2018 on the steps of the Basilica of Saint Mary. 174 students received their diplomas, and 97% of them will be matriculating to higher education programs around the country in the fall. After four years on the Island, they are ready to serve and lead in the world, spreading Lasallian values in every community they encounter.

The students of the Class of 2018 are an accomplished and celebrated group. From the banners raised in the gym to the historic amount of awards won on stage to the state competition-winning quiz bowl team, these students left their mark inside and outside of the classroom. 40 students are graduating with a GPA of 4.0 or higher, and, as a class, they completed more than 2,500 hours of Christian service throughout the broader community. Of course, we at DeLaSalle are tremendously proud of their achievements, but we are even more proud of the confidence, faith, intelligence, and kindness that they will carry with them. The Class of 2018 is certainly one to remember.

Their success and impact would not have been possible with the incredible support of our community. This year, DeLaSalle awarded over $3 million in tuition assistance, allowing access to hundreds of families who otherwise would be unable to meet their obligation and attracting some of the brightest young minds in the state with competitive scholarship offerings. The funding for much of this assistance comes directly from alumni, parents, and friends of the school who have given generously over the years. We cannot thank them enough for continuing to prioritize supporting Catholic, Lasallian education.

DeLaSalle’s fiscal year ends on June 30th, so there is no better time than the present to make a gift and support an Islander. Whether it is your first time or your fiftieth, your contribution is crucial and deeply appreciated. You can click here to find a form that you can easily complete in order to make a donation, either one-time or recurring. If preferred, you can send a gift in to DeLaSalle as well.

Thank you for your continued support, and God Bless you and and your family as you venture into Summer!
