    Please note early start time and don’t forget your calculator! Students eat lunch at their regular lunch time, passes given to period 4 lunch eaters if needed. Students taking AP Psychology in the afternoon bring cold lunch or order box lunch and eat in the LL Gray Gym
  • 12:00pm: AP Psychology (Rothweiler Room)
    Students are excused 4th period to eat lunch and should report to testing 5th period.

Tomorrow

  • 8:00am: AP Spanish (LL Gray Gym, Thies Lab)
    Please note early start time! End times are staggered due to recording. Students who are taking the AP Physics test in the afternoon bring a cold lunch or order a box lunch.
  • 12:00pm: AP Physics (LL Gray Gym)
    Don’t forget your calculator! Students will eat lunch 4th period. Students who took the AP Spanish exam in the morning should bring and eat their lunch in the LL Gray Gym before starting the Physics exam. If you ordered a box lunch, it will be available in the LL Gray Gym. Please note late end time–students are responsible for communicating with moderators of activities and plan transportation and after school activities accordingly.

In today’s news…

During AP testing, the hallway to the LL Gray Gym is closed for non-testers. Please plan accordingly.

AP testers: Remember to bring 2 sharpened #2 pencils and 2 pens to testing. Leave your phone in your locker.

During AP testing counselors are proctoring tests and not in the office space. Students wishing to access the counseling office are required to arrive with a pass and a specific task to work on that they need assistance with. There will be one counselor available to assist students who are in crisis.

Hey DeLaSalle Students! Do you have a special talent or skill that you would like to showcase in the Weekly De? If you have five minutes to share your talent with the Weekly De staff, please find or contact Gabe Patlan or Zach Jester today or tomorrow.

Are you interested in representing next year’s sophomore, junior, or senior class on Student Council? If so, stop by Mr. Sczepanski’s room or the main office and pick up a form! Interested students must attend an informational meeting and complete all other requirements on the form to have their name on the ballot. All required materials must be turned in to Mr. Sczepanski by Tuesday, May 8th, by 3:15pm. Class Representative Elections will be held on Wednesday, May 16th in designated classes for each grade. Please contact Mr. Sczepanski if you have any questions.

Mandatory Meeting for Potential Candidates: Class Representative candidates must attend an informational meeting on Tuesday morning, May 8th, at 7:45am in Room B302 with Mr. Sczepanski. If you do not show up to this meeting, and you have not already attended one of the other previous meetings on Tuesday May 1st, you will not get your name on the ballot. Please see Mr. Sczepanski if you have questions.

Jared Clapper, a math and science tutor who has helped students in the Florance Center three days a week before school, will not be available for the rest of the school year. Students in need of tutoring may work with a National Honor Society tutor. Please contact Ms. Wojda to arrange a tutor.

DeLaSalle invites students enrolled in the Class of 2022 and their parents to join us for a Welcome Party on Saturday, May 12. Students will dance to a DJ, participate in Mardi Gras games and group activities where they will meet new kids, or just enjoy the atmosphere of your new school. Admission is free – and we’ll have pizza and pop for everybody. By the end of the night, you’ll have a lot of new friends! Parents, we don’t want you to miss out on the fun either. While your child is having fun meeting his or her new classmates, you can meet other parents during the “Meet and Greet with Treats” for parents of the Class of 2022. Current parents and some graduating seniors will serve as hosts and share good conversation about DeLaSalle from a parent’s or student’s view. This event is hosted by the DeLaSalle Parent Association and has been extremely valuable for new parents to DeLaSalle. Please watch your email inbox for a party invitation and more details.

There is still time to volunteer, donate and register your graduate for the All-Night Graduation Party. We need volunteers. If you’re a parent of a junior or underclassman, please pay-it-forward. We greatly appreciate your help.We have multiple shifts and jobs for all skill sets from 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Click here to volunteer.

This is donations week! We’re seeking $5 gift cards  for gas, movies, food, Target, Starbucks, etc. and a variety of prizes such as new tech accessories (especially aux cords, ear buds and chargers), larger gift cards, cool gadgets/electronics or college gear. Please send gift card donations to the school by end of day, Monday, May 7, c/o “School Office: All-Night Senior Graduation Party Donations,” or drop off the prizes in the donation box in the office.

Lastly, as of last week, 50 seniors were signed-up for the party. Let’s make sure everyone is registered so sign-up here! There will be plenty of food, music and dancing, games, sports, swimming, ice skating, hockey and entertainment including a hypnotist, a psychic and a casino room. (They will need a bathing suit and towel. Skating/hockey equipment is encouraged. Valuables should be left at home.)

Volunteer to help at the Lundstrum Performing Arts Gala.

  • When: Saturday May 19, 2018
  • Where: Lundstrum Performing Arts- 1617 N 2nd St, Minneapolis, MN 55411
  • Parking: Free in two surrounding lots and on the streets surrounding Lundstrum
  • Time of Volunteers needed: 5:00-8:30 or 5:00-10:00 pm Volunteer Duties will include: Food service and bussing, greeting and escorting guests, assisting with event logistics.
  • Time of Event: 6:00-10:00pm
  • Other things to know: Please wear black pants and a white shirt with no writing. Dinner will be provided.

Join the hundreds of students who build their skills and have fun learning new activities during one of nine Camp Islander camps offered through DeLaSalle this June and July. Registration is underway for Camp Islander 2018, with camps for boys’ and girls’ basketball, cheer, football, boys’ and girls’ soccer, tennis, theatre, and volleyball. Click here for more information and to register.

Students who park in the Nicollet Island Pavilion overflow parking lot (just south of the Hennepin Avenue bridge) should note the parking lot will be unavailable May 15 because the Nicollet Island Pavilion needs the parking for a scheduled event. Students are strongly encouraged to carpool, get a ride to and from school, or use public transportation that day. Thank you for your cooperation.
