We will meet in the Gym on Wednesdays for the rest of the school year and then go to Boom Island to play a pick-up game. Ms. Barry will be the moderator for this club and it should be a ton of fun. If you are interested, please sign your name and email on the sign up sheet on the Activity Office door. The first game is next Wednesday, May 9.

The TableTop Games Club will be playing Pandemic this Thursday, in B307. Come play this cooperative board game where you are CDC workers fighting multiple diseases across the globe. Watch Wil Wheaton’s TableTop for an introduction to the rules.

Congratulations to senior midfielder, Ansley Atkinson ’18, who has been named DeLaSalle’s Athena Award winner. She will be honored at a luncheon May 4. On Saturday, May 5 we will be hosting our 18th annual Starry Night prom for people with disabilities. 1,400+ guests from all over the greater Twin Cities area will be enjoying an evening of music, fun, and dancing. Over 200 DeLaSalle students have been involved in the planning, preparation and training that is required for such an event. This is entirely volunteer, no Christian Service hours are awarded for participation – so these students deserve to be applauded. Due to the importance of the training and preparation, only those students who have participated on the committee are allowed to attend.

If you have participated in the CPR/AED blended learning class, please set up a time to test out with Mr. C. You will need to pay $5 to Ms. Smith in the business office and bring your certificate of completion to Mr. C. You can either email Mr. C or come to his office during your lunch to set up an appointment to test out. Please set an appointment by Friday this week. Testing will begin this Thursday and continue into next week. Thank you and have a great day.

On Saturday, May 5, from 9:00am-12:00pm DeLaSalle offers Honors Mastery Exams in Spanish, French, Mandarin, Geometry, Algebra II and Physical Science. These exams are required for any student who wishes Honors or advanced course placement as a 9th grader. All students may choose to take the exams simply to verify placement for fall. Each exam lasts up to 55 minutes. Contact Mike O’Keefe for more information.

Students who park in the Nicollet Island Pavilion overflow parking lot (just south of the Hennepin Avenue bridge) should note the parking lot will be unavailable May 15 because the Nicollet Island Pavilion needs the parking for a scheduled event. Students are strongly encouraged to carpool, get a ride to and from school, or use public transportation that day. Thank you for your cooperation.
