Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Father of Light and Wisdom,

Thank you for giving me a mind that can know and a heart that can love.
Help me to keep learning every day of my life, no matter what the subject may be.
Let me be convinced that all knowledge leads to you and let me know how to find you and love you in all the things you have made.
Encourage me when the studies are difficult and when I am tempted to give up.
Enlighten me when my brain is slow and help me to grasp the truth held out to me.
Grant me the grace to put my knowledge to use in building the kingdom of God on earth so that I may enter the kingdom of God in heaven.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

On today’s calendar…

In today’s news…

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board has closed West Island Avenue to vehicle traffic, while the zip line is taking place. The road will be closed between noon and 11pm through Thursday, then will be closed all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Students, parents, and guests should enter DeLaSalle via East Island Avenue and DeLaSalle Drive during the West Island Avenue closure. To exit, drivers should go north on West Island Avenue, around the north side of Nicollet Island, and exit via East Island Avenue. Click here to view a map of the detour.

The flu bug has hit pretty hard this winter. While DeLaSalle takes great effort to sanitize and clean the school, there are steps you can take to stay healthy and prevent the illness from spreading:

  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue during a cough or sneeze, and throw the tissue in the trash after it’s used.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth (germs spread that way).
  • Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
  • Do not share personal items such as, drinks, food or unwashed utensils.

Please join us Today at 3:30pm in the Thies lab to have fun learning about coding apps, business innovation, and entrepreneurship. It is a lot of fun as well as eating cookies and snacks.

DeLaSalle will be hosting a peaceful march down Hennepin Avenue on Thursday to bring awareness to Human Trafficking. We are being supported by the Minneapolis Police department and Breaking Free. We have invited all of the other Catholic High Schools to participate as well as some other outside agencies. The march will happen immediately following school on that day (3:30). We will meet in the Florance Center and proceed from there. We hope you will take part in this exciting and important event. Your families and friends are welcome too. Please remember to dress in weather appropriate gear and comfortable walking shoes.
