Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

O God, we ask You to help our schools do their work in Your name. Bound by charity to one another, we are joined in this ministry of Catholic education that reaches out to all the faculty, staff, and administrators in our schools. We ask You to help them give witness to Christ, the unique Teacher, by their lives as well as by their teachings. Amen.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us.

ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

DeLaSalle will be hosting a peaceful march down Hennepin Avenue on Thursday, February 1 to bring awareness to Human Trafficking. We are being supported by the Minneapolis Police department and Breaking Free. We have invited all of the other Catholic High Schools to participate as well as some other outside agencies. The march will happen immediately following school on that day (3:30). We will meet in the Florance Center and proceed from there. We hope you will take part in this exciting and important event. Your families and friends are welcome too. Please remember to dress in weather appropriate gear and comfortable walking shoes.

For Social Justice Week, we are doing a human trafficking production in readers theater. We are in need of 4-5 strong committed readers who would have time to rehearse 2-3 times in the next month. Please send an e-mail to Ms. Hodapp if you are interested in participating.

Current 10th and 11th grade students received an email with a link to apply for a Global Advantage Program summer course in Italy or Nicaragua. Continue reading here about the trips, including requested information for the application. Applications are due by February 2. As students and families consider this decision, please note that young women may apply by April 1 for a one-time grant up to $500 through the Ann Bancroft Foundation’s “Dare to Dream” grant program. Click here for more information and the grant application. And, all DeLaSalle students may volunteer through the Islander Foundation and apply those funds to help pay for trip expenses.
