Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

PSALM 34
When the righteous cry for help,
the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but the Lord delivers them out of them all.
Amen.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us.
Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

All college visits take place in the Guidance office B102, unless otherwise noted. In order to meet with a college rep, you must register for the visit through your Naviance account and notify your teacher at least one day before the visit. You may show your teacher your iPad with the registration on Naviance as your pass. Remember, you are responsible for any work you miss during your visit with the college rep.  The Guidance office will give students passes back to class if the visit does not take the whole period.

In today’s news…

DeLaSalle hosts its Open House for Prospective Students and Families Tonight at 7:00pm. So that we can clean our school for our visitors, we ask that you leave school immediately after the last bell at 3:00pm. Thank you for your cooperation.

Classes tomorrow will start two hours late as DeLaSalle staff participate in professional development. Classes will begin at 10:30am instead of 8:30am, and morning transportation routes will also run two hours later than normal.
A special thank you to the entire DeLaSalle community for your participation in Diversity Week.

IT’S OFFICIAL: We have Respect Life Month in October of each year. “The Church,” Pope Benedict said, “is called to proclaim the gift of life, to serve life, and to promote a culture of life.” So we remember all forms and all ages of life that God has given us.

RESPECT LIFE MONTH: FOR THE BABIES!  Last call for pacifiers, rattles, PJs, and especially formula (Similac). Show you care by making a donation of at least one item in our Drive for the Little Ones. Bring items to the Atrium all month.

Students, please take a minute to answer this poll to help Student Council plan Winterfest. Please cast your vote by the end of the school day on Tuesday. You must be logged in to your Student Apps account to take the poll.

Any student returning to Speech must attend a short meeting Today. Meet in front of the Speech trophy case on the 2nd floor of the A building at 3:15pm.

If you interested in becoming a Eucharistic Minister, there is a training in Room B215 on Monday, October 30 during all lunches.  If you are a confirmed Catholic and would like to serve in this capacity, please plan to come. See Ms. Hodapp or Br. Ryan for questions.

Our community will gather for All Saint’s Day Mass between first and second period on Wednesday.  Please come prepared for worship. We welcome our chaplain Fr. Joe Kuharski as our celebrant.

DeLaSalle is excited to hold its second annual De Day of Giving on Thursday, November 2. We invite you to consider joining us in lifting up our great community and ensuring that all students continue to have the opportunity to experience an excellent education at DeLaSalle. Last year, we raised $112,000 in one day. This year, our goal is to again raise $100,000. Based on the generosity and continuity of our donors, we believe this goal is attainable.

Film Club is having an interest meeting on Thursday in the Thies Lab from 3:15 – 3:45 pm. Stop by if creating short films and movies interest you!
