No Classes October 20 or 23 Due to Professional Development
DeLaSalle staff will participate in two consecutive school days of professional development – October 20 and October 23. There are no classes on either day.
On October 23, all DeLaSalle staff will join colleagues from other Lasallian high schools in the Twin Cities (Benilde-St. Margaret’s, Cretin-Derham Hall, Holy Family, and Totino-Grace) for a presentation by Dr. Marcia Chatelain, associate professor of history and African American studies at Georgetown University, who will speak about race and social justice.
The school building will not be open October 23 nor will staff be present in the office or to answer the telephone because of this off site professional development.

DeLaSalle Raises Record Amount at Christian Brothers’ Gala
Thank you to the students, staff, parents, alumni, and friends who made the October 14th DeLaSalle Christian Brothers’ Gala a great success! Many in our community stepped forward and gave generously of their time, talent, and treasure. With particular gratitude, we thank Tom ’54 and Sandy Glodek as well as Roger ’54 and Irma Scherer each for their generous $100,000 matching donation toward the Gala’s “Bids for Kids”. Through the generosity of over 375 attendees, we exceeded the challenge match and raised gross revenues of $560,000 in the “Bids for Kids”, live and silent auctions, ticket sales, and more. Money raised at the Gala directly supports student scholarship at DeLaSalle.
We Want Your Feedback
Thank you to the many DeLaSalle parents who have already responded to a survey as part of our reaccreditation through AdvancEd. The survey link is available in English and Spanish through October 27. DeLaSalle is seeking reaccreditation through AdvancEd as a college preparatory high school. The accreditation involves the collection and analysis of student performance data, a self assessment, and stakeholder surveys as we identify how we can continuously improve our model of instruction. Thank you for your participation and for partnering with us as we strive to offer your child the best education possible.
The Global Advantage Program will have an information meeting for families interested in hosting international exchange students. DeLaSalle will welcome students from Argentina, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Germany and Italy in the coming school year. These students go through an extensive application process and are chosen by their schools for their academics, behavior, and interest in experiencing America.

Out of Uniform Day
Thursday, October 24, 6:00-7:00pm, D104

Students must follow the out of uniform policies in the Student-Parent Handbook. A portion of the proceeds from wristband sales are sent to Mwangaza College, our twin school in Kenya.
