College Representatives Begin Visiting DeLaSalle
Representatives from dozens of colleges and universities visit DeLaSalle each year to share information about their school with students. Visits are announced in “The Source” and are typically held in the Guidance office, unless otherwise noted. You may also find which schools are visiting on the “College Visits, College Fairs and Events” calendar, which you can find on the School Calendar webpage. Students may sign up for visits in Naviance and show that sign up to their teachers if they wish to attend visits. Most visits will last the whole period. The Guidance office will give students passes back to class if the visit does not take the whole period.
School Picture Packages Returned; Picture Retake September 26
Lifetouch returned school picture packages to DeLaSalle this week, which staff distributed to students during lunches on September 7 and 8. Students who wish to have their picture retake must bring their entire packet back on Picture Retake Day, September 26.
Around DeLaSalle
Ninety percent of DeLaSalle students participate in a student activity each year. On September 1, Islanders celebrated those students in a fall sport with an all school Pepfest. (Photo courtesy: Kristin Lundstrum, DeLaSalle staff)
A photographer from David Bank Studios will be at DeLaSalle during lunches to take senior pictures for those who have not had their picture previously taken at the studio. Students who are dressed for the Homecoming class color day may bring a nice top to change into for the picture; pictures are from the waist up. All seniors must have a senior picture taken by David Bank Studios to be included in the 2017-18 yearbook and the class composite picture that hangs in the hallways of DeLaSalle. Students who do not get their senior picture taken September 13 must get a senior picture taken at the studio by October 31. Seniors and parents should look for details in a separate email. Please contact yearbook@delasalle.com with questions.
