Please Note These First Semester Calendar Impacts

As we shared at Back-to-School Night, three professional development sessions will impact the first semester school calendar.

  • Classes will not be in session on Monday, October 23, as DeLaSalle staff participate in professional development about racial justice in schools with other Lasallian educators in the Twin Cities. The presenter will be Dr. Marcia Chatelain, Associate Professor at Georgetown University, who will lead a seminar on Leading our Catholic Schools toward Racial Justice: Overcoming our Fears and Using our Values.
  • There will be a 2-hour late start on Tuesday, October 31, the day following our Fall Open House for Prospective Students and Families. As a reminder, on days with a 2-hour late start, classes start at 10:30am instead of 8:30am, and morning transportation routes also run two hours later than normal.
  • A 2-hour late start will also be held on Thursday, November 9, following our Academic Awards and National Honor Society induction ceremony.
Track Your Child’s Minneapolis Bus Route with MyStop App

At Back-to-School Night this week, DeLaSalle announced a free app that allows parents of students who ride a Minneapolis bus route to track their child’s bus. Created by the Minneapolis and Suburban / Monarch Bus Company, the MyStop app is free for Android and iPhone users. Click here for instructions on how to download and sign up. The app does not show real-time location but is accurate within 3-4 minutes. As a remember, students should always be at their bus stop at least 5 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.

David Bank Studios to Take Senior Pictures September 13

A photographer from David Bank Studios will be at DeLaSalle during lunches on Wednesday, September 13, to take senior pictures for those who have had their picture previously taken at the studio. All seniors must have a senior picture taken by David Bank Studios to be included in the 2017-18 yearbook and the class composite picture that hangs in the hallways of DeLaSalle. Students who do not get their senior picture taken September 13 must get a senior picture taken at the studio by October 31. Seniors and parents should look for details in a separate email.
