Get prepared with a presentation tonight at 6:30pm in D104 for students and parents/guardians on the many options for paying for college. Take away tools for navigating the new FAFSA; applying to colleges, researching scholarships, grants and loan options; completing college applications; writing essays.

Students, you will meet with your academic mentor after 1st period tomorrow. Please bring homework and other class materials to work on quietly during the meeting. Mentor meetings provide you with a chance to check in with your mentor about how you are doing in your classes so far this year.

The GREEN Team is seeking environmental superstars (or just average Janes and Joes like the rest of us) to help make the world a more sustainable and vibrant place to live. If you like working with others to eliminate hunger, protect and promote pollinators, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, address environmental racism, and/or advocate for clean energy policies then look no further!

Our first meeting will be Tuesday at 3:10PM in room B311 (and, if you miss that meeting, feel free to join us on any other Tuesday afternoon right after school in Mr. Banas’ room).

If you’re still not sure after all of that – we’re also a great option for those who enjoy occasional afternoon snacks, who are interested in field trips to cool places like aquaponics labs and bee labs, and/or who have great ideas on projects to make our school an even more fantastic place to be – now and in the future.  Bring your ideas and energy to GREEN Team!

Auditions for the Fall Play, Radio News Hour, will be on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30pm – 5pm in D117. You only need to choose one of the days to audition. Students will be reading and performing from provided materials, no preparation necessary. All skill levels are encouraged to audition, prior experience is not required. If you have any questions, contact Mr. Buffington at jbuffington@delasalle.com.

The Student Activities office has scheduled team pictures after school on Wednesday for students involved in fall sports. Coaches will communicate to athletes what time the team’s picture is scheduled, where, and how to order copies of the picture.

Parents, please join us on Wednesday night from 6:00-8:45pm for Back-to-School Night to learn from teachers, mentors, and administrators of the academic expectations for each student this year. You will meet your child’s academic mentor and follow your child’s class schedule to learn about course goals, content, and assignments from your child’s teachers.

Mr. CJ Hallman oversees our Christian Service program.  He has moved to the main office of the school.  Please see him for all your Christian Service needs.

John Paul II is looking for some students to help with their Septemberfest. If you are looking to get some Christian service hours see Mr. CJ Hallman in the main office for further details. Septemberfest is Sunday September 10th.

Just a reminder that the Campus “Lasallian” Ministry office is located in the lower level of
Christian Brother’s Hall. Don’t hesitate to venture outside the doors to Founder’s Park and comefor a visit. We have our own entrance to the building and welcome you any time.

Students should review pages 11-12 of the Student-Parent Handbook to ensure they understand how to properly wear their uniform. Random uniform checks in classes will begin next week and behavioral consequences will be given if a student is out of uniform.

A student or parent may deposit cash or check payment into a student’s cafeteria account in the Main Office at the school during normal business hours. If you are depositing money via check, please include the student’s last name and ID number in the check memo. Deposits that are placed in the box inside the Main Office by 9am will be credited to the account before lunches begin that day.

Families may also deposit electronically. Click here for more information and to get started.
