Monday, April 24 Faith in the Presence of God
All are welcome to come to the “Upper Room” (the Chapel on the second floor of Christian Brothers Hall) for morning prayer at 7:45am. Special prayers will also be read at the start of each class period.
Tuesday, April 25: Respect for All Persons
Students and families are encouraged to donate during lunches all week toward our school collection for South Sudan. There will be a bin for each grade level. The class with the largest donation will have a pizza party sometime before the end of the school year.
Wednesday, April 26: Inclusive Community
The entire community will gather for our annual Founder’s Day Mass and Ice Cream Social at 9:00am in the Florance Center.
Thursday, April 27: Concern for the Poor and Social Justice
Students are invited to sign up to participate in a food packing event at Feed My Starving Children from 2:00-5:00pm. Click here to sign up.
Friday, April 28: Quality Education
In honor of the legacy of the Christian Brothers, the faculty and staff have been invited to wear a special T-shirt. The shirt is black with a white collar or “rebat”. The rebat is the collar worn by the brothers in their traditional robes. The back reads, “Together and By Association”
Faculty Student Kickball game after school on the field. Come celebrate Founder’s Week at our carnival-themed Founder’s Fest after school on Friday, April 28. There will be food trucks, a Senior v. Staff kickball game, and fun games! Festivities will begin at 3:30pm.
Saturday, April 29: FOUNDER’S DAY 5k
There’s still time for you to sign up to participate. Click here for more information. Students can even try to Beat the Principal by running faster than Mr. Benson.
Click here to sign up for a free bus to and from the event. A bus will leave DLS at 6:30pm sharp and return to De at the end of the fair, 8:30pm.
You may also drive to the fair on your own. Parents and caretakers are welcome to go with you, they can even ride the bus with us. Check in at the table with Ms. Carter and Ms. McAdams when you arrive.

The President must be a senior in the fall of 2017; the other positions can be juniors or seniors in the fall of 2017. You do not need to be on Student Council to run for an executive board position. If you are elected, you will automatically be on Student Council and do not have to run in the class representative elections.
Nomination forms are due to Mr. Sczepanski on Wednesday, April 26. Please see Mr. Sczepanski, Mr. Hank or Mr. Zavitz with any questions.
Students are encouraged to bring their bike to school that day and to lock it to a bike rack outside the building. All participants will be required to wear a helmet in order to ride. We will meet in A206 from 3:15-3:30pm and will ride from 3:30-4:30pm.
