In today’s news…

The boys’ basketball team has earned the #1 seed in the state tournament and will play Big Lake on Wednesday at 10am at Williams Arena. There are no classes Wednesday.

Morning transportation routes will run on a normal schedule Wednesday to pick up students who need a ride to school to ride a fan bus to the game. Fan buses leave DeLaSalle starting at 9am.

If the Islanders win Wednesday, they would play the winner of Fergus Falls vs. Columbia Heights in the semifinal game on Thursday, March 23 at 12pm at Target Center. There would be no classes on Thursday.

Tickets for the game cost $9 for students and $14 for adults – and will be sold before and after school Tuesday as well as Wednesday from 8:15-9:00am.

And, congratulations to the girls’ basketball team, which earned the Class 3A consolation on Friday with a 68-66 double overtime win over Grand Rapids.

Spring time is here! The Deans will be doing a spring cleaning of the Lost and Found items. Lost items should be brought to the Dean’s office and students may check for lost items there. Please visit the Dean’s office for your items. Any unclaimed items will be donated Friday.

Several more spring sports start today. Practices are scheduled for JV and varsity baseball as well as boys’ and girls’ golf. Click here for more information:

Join us in the school chapel today at 7:45am for a short prayer service. All are welcome. The chapel is located on the 2nd floor of Christian Brothers’ Hall, and you can access it from the Lasallian Ministry office.

Priests will be available again today to offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation or to meet with students of other faiths. Several priests will be available again in Christian Brothers’ Hall. Please check in with the Lasallian Ministry office. You can learn more about the sacrament via this U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops webpage.

This Parent Association sponsored group meets on campus monthly to lift up the school community in prayer. The group meets today from 8:30-9:30am in in the Florance Center. Students, staff, and families may place prayer requests in prayer boxes in the Lasallian Ministry office, Main Office, or Theology classroom; requests may remain anonymous.

2017 Pathways Internship Opportunities
Three Rivers Park District – Outdoor Education Centers (Various Locations)

The pathways interns based at one of four Three Rivers’ parks nature centers will have the opportunity to assist with nature education programs for all ages of visitors. Focus will be placed on the summer camp programs. The intern will help the naturalists to engage and inspire wonder of nature in children.

Join other high school students for a retreat about how to live your faith in a real world. Immaculate Conception in Columbia Heights is hosting the “Get Real!” youth gathering April 1 from 8:30am-12:00pm, with a presentation by David Rinaldi from NET Ministries. You can also play basketball or make a “Jesus Freak” tie dye t-shirt. The gathering costs $5 and includes continental breakfast and lunch. Click here for more information.
