In this penitential season of Lent, we are called to self reflection and to identify how we can move into a closer relationship with God.

The Office of Lasallian Ministry continues to provide multiple opportunities for students.  Morning Prayer continues to be available in the School Chapel at 7:45 am on Mondays, including March 20.

Also on Monday, and for the second consecutive week, we have again made arrangements for several priests to be on campus to offer the Catholic Sacrament of Reconciliation to DeLaSalle students and staff.   School chaplain, Father Joe Kuharski, will be joined by other priests from area parishes.  This past Monday, March 13, several dozen students were able to meet with a priest throughout the day, but not every student was accommodated at a time that fit his or her schedule that day.  We are grateful to provide the opportunity once again.

The priests certainly are available to meet with students of all faiths.  Approximately 68 percent of the DeLaSalle student body is Catholic.  Those interested in receiving the Sacrament or meeting with a priest should check in with the Lasallian Ministry office during the day on Monday.

All parents are invited to participate in the monthly “Parents in Prayer” series, sponsored by the DeLaSalle Parent Association.  The March meeting will be Monday, March 20, from 8:30-9:30 am in the Florance Center.  Throughout each month, students and staff submit prayer requests or praises to collection places in offices and Theology classrooms.  In most months, students and others make several requests for the prayer support of the community.   Any parent may join one another in prayer as the requests of the past month are read aloud.  Please check in at the Main Office if you are able to join the other parents on Monday.
