Biases, Disabilities (“Different”Abilities), Human Rights…
Social Justice Awareness Week is organized by Lasallian MInistry. Our focus for the week is on Catholic Social Teachings. We have many informative and thought provoking activities in store for the DeLaSalle Community this week. Please check out the signs around the building for more information and get involved.
- Author Jonathan Friesen is our keynote for the week and will be speaking tomorrow morning in our assembly after 1st hour. He will also have copies of all of his books that will be sold during lunch periods on Thursday for $10 (cash or check made payable to DeLaSalle) Click here for a list of his books.
- 10th and 11th graders will participate in Accessible Arts Classroom Activities today.
- Don’t forget to sign up to see the movie Hidden Figures after school at St. Anthony Main on Thursday. We’ll leave at 3:15, go see the movie, and then come back to De for pizza and discussion. The cost is $8 ($6 for the movie ticket and $2 for the pizza).
- Our collection for the Walk for a Cure for Juvenile Arthritis is happening through Friday in your first period classes. Everyone who donates at least one dollar will have their name posted on a ribbon and be eligible for some prizes during lunches on Friday.

- De La Salle Blackfeet School on the Blackfeet Indian reservation – July 5-12
- Gaming at any time during a school day is prohibited.
- Switching iPads with other students for any reason is prohibited.
- Photos and videos should only be taken to enhance your learning. You should ask permission from the teachers when taking photos of notes on the board or homework assignments such as worksheets or Quias.
Any violation will result in school consequences such as restrictions on iPads and detention.
Please be aware of these reminders as we continue random iPad checks throughout the next several weeks of school.

- Friday, February 17 – Cities United presents the 2nd Annual Black History Month Event to be held in Brooklyn Park, North Hennepin Community College. This is an all day event and students will need to complete an anticipated absence form. Students should sign up here. FREE
