Social Justice Awareness Week is organized by Lasallian MInistry. Our focus for the week is on Catholic Social Teachings. We have many informative and thought provoking activities in store for the DeLaSalle Community this week. Please check out the signs around the building for more information and get involved.

  • Author Jonathan Friesen is our keynote for the week and will be speaking on Thursday morning. He will also have copies of all of his books that will be sold during lunch periods on Thursday for $10 (cash or check made payable to DeLaSalle) Click here for a list of his books.
  • 10th and 11th graders will participate in Accessible Arts Classroom Activities today and tomorrow
  • Don’t forget to sign up to see the movie Hidden Figures after school at St. Anthony Main on Thursday. We’ll leave at 3:15, go see the movie, and then come back to De for pizza and discussion. The cost is $8 ($6 for the movie ticket and $2 for the pizza).

Student Council is having an Out of Uniform day tomorrow. We will be selling wristbands during lunches today for $1 and before school tomorrow for $2. Remember, you must follow the Out of Uniform guidelines spelled out in the Student-Parent Handbook.

Students, please note these reminders about appropriate iPad use:

  • Gaming at any time during a school day is prohibited.
  • Switching iPads with other students for any reason is prohibited.
  • Photos and videos should only be taken to enhance your learning. You should ask permission from the teachers when taking photos of notes on the board or homework assignments such as worksheets or Quias.

Any violation will result in school consequences such as restrictions on iPads and detention.

Please be aware of these reminders as we continue random iPad checks throughout the next several weeks of school.

Students are invited to apply now for one of these upcoming Lasallian Ministry-sponsored service immersion opportunities. Click the link to see more about and apply for the experience:

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Skipping breakfast may be easy but can actually make it harder for you to concentrate, depletes your energy, and can make you cranky.

Did you know that the DeLaSalle Cafe serves a full hot breakfast every school day from 7:50-8:20am? Stop by and see all the items we sell to start your day. You can find the breakfast menu on the DeLaSalle Cafe webpage, under the Menu tab. All breakfast entrees include fruit juice or milk. Students who receive free lunch benefits may also receive a full breakfast entree each school day.
