On Thursday, we will gather immediately following first period for our annual Christmas Liturgy and program in the Florance Center.  Please move quickly and quietly with your first period class.  Students who are participating as readers in the liturgy should arrive to the Florance Center by 8:00am for practice and check in. Band and orchestra students should be dismissed at 8:50am to prepare for prayer.

Game day is happening again today in the Lasallian Ministry office during all lunches.  All are welcome.

Lasallian Ministry Christmas Party tomorrow from 7:30-8:20am in room D117.  Games, snacks, and our raffle drawing. Please bring a store bought snack to share.  (Christmas cookies, fruit, candy, crackers, donuts, whatever you wish)  All are welcome.

De Parents in Prayer, a Parent Association-sponsored group, meets in the Florance Center tomorrow from 1:45-2:45pm. The group gathers monthly to lift up the school community in prayer. Students, staff, and families may place prayer requests in prayer boxes in the Lasallian Ministry office, Main Office, and Theology classrooms. Requests may remain anonymous.

“Upper Room” Advent Morning Prayer on Monday, December 19 from 7:45-8:00am in the chapel above the Lasallian Ministry office. All are Welcome.

First semester final assessments start Tuesday and continue next Wednesday and Thursday. All three days feature a shortened schedule. Click here to find out when your finals are scheduled.

As a reminder, students must be dressed in school uniform all three days. Breakfast will be served until 8:30am. Buses will run in the morning and will depart at 12:15pm on Tuesday and Wednesday and at 11:05am on Thursday.

Winter weather is upon us creating even more challenges in our parking lots. Please note the following:

  • Temporary Day Permits are not available for purchase until further notice.
  • Vehicles without a properly displayed permit will be towed. No Warning Sticker; No Boot – TOWED. No Exceptions.
  • Vehicles displaying a proper permit are required to park with an appropriate amount of spacing to adjacent vehicles. Vehicles taking an inappropriate amount of space will be BOOTED – no exceptions.

Thank you for your prompt attention and adherence to this matter.

Students receiving financial assistance are required to complete 10 hours of scheduled work-service each year they attend DeLaSalle. Work can range from assisting custodians with light duty building maintenance to general outside groundskeeping.

Work service shifts are available:

  • Dec. 12 – Dec. 16 and Dec. 19:  3:15-5:15pm
  • Dec. 20, 21: 12:30-2:30pm (or longer IF available – these are early release days for finals)
  • Christmas Break:  Dec. 23, 27, 28, 29, 30; Jan. 3, 4 – all shifts are 9:30am-3:00pm

The Christmas Break is a great time to connect with an agency and complete some of your Christian Service Hours.  Seniors, don’t forget that all of your hours and paper are due by January 20, there will be no exceptions.  Christian Service information, forms and agency ideas can be found here. Students who have gone above and beyond in volunteering at a senior care facility or in the community helping an older adult are eligible to apply for one of two $2,000 scholarships.
