Monday December 5, 2016

Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

We are pilgrims on the journey, we are neighbors on the road. We are here to help each other walk the mile and bear the load. I will hold the Christ light for you In the nighttime of your fear. I will hold my hand out to you speak the peace you long to hear.
-Amen

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

Want to start your week out well with a short 15 minute prayer?  All are welcome to come to the Chapel above the Lasallian Ministry office for “In the Upper Room” Advent morning prayer on Mondays in December (Dec. 5, 12, and 19), starting at 7:45am.

On Thursday, we gather as a school community to celebrate Mass for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. This is a day we commemorate Mary, the blessed Mother of Jesus, who was conceived without original sin. Our celebrant for Mass is Fr. Dale Korogi from Ascension Parish and School.

This year our annual “12 Days of Christmas” will be performed by 12th grade girls. If you are interested in participating in the 12 Days of Christmas and are willing to come in the morning a few times a week to practice, please email Mr. Hallman by 3:00pm tomorrow. At that time the list will close for participation.

Lasallian Ministry does not meet this week due to our Immaculate Conception Mass.  We will be meeting again on Friday, December 16 in room D117 from 7:30-8:20am for our annual Christmas Party.  Please bring a store bought snack to share. (Christmas cookies, fruit, candy, crackers, donuts, whatever you wish)  All are welcome. Remember if you have participated in Lasallian Ministry related activities this semester and completed a raffle ticket you are entered in a drawing for some great prizes, including gift cards and a hoodie from the school store.

Game day is happening again this Thursday in the Lasallian Ministry office during all lunches.  All are welcome.

Volunteer to serve the afternoon meal at Sharing and Caring Hands on Monday, December 12 after school. Email Ms. Barry to sign up. Limited to 8 students.

Any interested students, staff and parents are cordially invited to go Christmas Caroling at Catholic Eldercare on Monday, December 12 from 4:30-5:30pm.

When we return, we will have dinner and watch Home Alone in the Lasallian Ministry office. Everything should be over by 7:30pm. Please e-mail Ms. Ortiz to sign up or, stop by the Lasallian Ministry office. If you just want to only go caroling that is fine but, in order to participate in the dinner and a movie, you must go caroling. The Parent Association is joining us for this event but will have a separate gathering after caroling in the Rothweiler Room.

Athletic trainer, Cindy Schlafmann, is available in the training room on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3:30-5:30pm. If there is a home game, Ms. Schlafmann will be available until the end of the game.
