Ninth graders, you will participate today for your first class retreat. This is a full day event where you have the opportunity to meet with your classmates, build class unity and share. Here are some details regarding your retreat:

  • Attendance is mandatory. If you miss a retreat day, you are required to make up your absence through the guidance of Lasallian Ministry
  • Students must be in uniform on retreat day.
  • Bring a bag lunch, juice or water will be provided.
  • Leave all books, bags, headphones, cell phones, iPads, etc. at home or school. These items are not allowed on retreat.
  • The retreat will run during the school day only. You will check in to first hour for attendance and announcements and will move to the Albers Atrium to board buses which will bring you to the retreat site.
  • Please come with an open and positive attitude and you will have fun.
  • Any questions or concerns should be directed to Ms. Hodapp in the Lasallian Ministry office during your lunch period.

Seniors selected for the 9th grade retreat team: don’t forget that we meet at St. Mary’s University Center today at 7:45am. Complete your request for absence form and pick up a T-Shirt in Lasallian Ministry if you need one. Those who missed the original training day, there is a make up training during lunches on Tuesday that you must attend.

Juniors doing research for their History Day projects will be working in the Library today and every Friday leading up to History Day in mid-February. Therefore, students may not receive a pass to study in the Library during lunch or study hall. Thank you for your understanding.

“In the Upper Room” prayer every Monday at 7:45am. Join us in the school chapel on Monday, November 21! Chess Club begins on Tuesday, November 15! The meeting time is 3:15-4:30 in Room A208. All ability levels are welcome. Please join us whether you are a pro or a novice at chess. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Kocourek.

De Parents in Prayer, a Parent Association-sponsored group, meets in the Florance Center Monday from 8:30-9:30am. The group gathers monthly to lift up the school community in prayer. Students, staff, and families may place prayer requests in prayer boxes in the Lasallian Ministry office, Main Office, and Theology classrooms. Requests may remain anonymous.

Loaner iPads will only be available in the IT Office from 8:00-8:30am and during the passing time between 1st and 2nd hour classes. You will only be able to use a loaner iPad two times a semester. Please prepare accordingly. 

Students receiving financial assistance are required to complete 10 hours of scheduled work-service each year they attend DeLaSalle. Work can range from assisting custodians with light duty building maintenance to general outside groundskeeping.

Work service shifts are available:

  • Nov. 21 and 22: After school shift (3:15-5:15pm)
  • Nov. 23: No school (9:30am-3:00pm, with 30 minute break)
  • Dec. 5-9: After school shift (3:15-5:15pm)
  • Sat. Dec. 10:  8:00am-1:30pm
  • Dec. 12-16: After school shift (3:15-5:15pm)

Reminder to come to the Lasallian Ministry office during your lunch period Monday for cookies and conversation part III with Fr. Joe.

We gather as a community between first and second period on Tuesday for our Thanksgiving prayer service.  Come prepared to pray in Thanksgiving for all of the gifts God has bestowed on us.

Chess Club begins on Tuesday, November 29! The meeting time is 3:15-4:30pm in A208. All ability levels are welcome. Please join us whether you are a pro or a novice at chess. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Kocourek.

Join us for the next NET Lifeline Mass and concert on Saturday, December 3 at the NET Center in West St. Paul. A thousand students from across the Twin Cities who are looking for a Mass with GREAT music and a message that is geared to them will be there. The Mass concert will be done about 9:00pm; we will go out for pizza afterwards. You can get a ride from DeLaSalle, which leaves at 4:30pm, or from St. Mark’s Catholic Church parking lot in St. Paul at 4:50pm.

This event is sold out! We have a limited number of tickets, so you must sign up here by Monday, November 28 to let us know you are coming. Next, print off this permission slip and return it with the fee for the concert to Mrs. Kocourek or Mrs. Wojda by Monday, November 28.
