Lord, we pray for the disabled and those without the things we take for granted.  Whether it be a challenge mentally, physically, emotionally, or spiritually, we pray that you help them to find their ability and use it to overcome any and all obstacles in their path. Amen

Loaner iPads will only be available in the IT Office from 8:00-8:30am and during the passing time between 1st and 2nd hour classes. You will only be able to use a loaner iPad two times a semester. Please prepare accordingly. 

All ninth grade students: On Friday, November 18 you will be gathering for your first class retreat. This is a full day event where you have the opportunity to meet with your classmates, build class unity and share. Here are some details regarding your retreat:

  • Attendance is mandatory. If you miss a retreat day, you are required to make up your absence through the guidance of Lasallian Ministry
  • Students must be in uniform on retreat day.
  • Bring a bag lunch, juice or water will be provided.
  • Leave all books, bags, headphones, cell phones, iPads, etc. at home or school. These items are not allowed on retreat.
  • The retreat will run during the school day only. You will check in to first hour for attendance and announcements and will move to the Albers Atrium to board buses which will bring you to the retreat site.
  • Please come with an open and positive attitude and you will have fun.
  • Any questions or concerns should be directed to Ms. Hodapp in the Lasallian Ministry office during your lunch period.

Seniors selected for the 9th grade retreat team: don’t forget that we meet at St. Mary’s University Center this Friday at 7:45am. Complete your request for absence form and pick up a T-Shirt in Lasallian Ministry if you need one. Those who missed the original training day, there is a make up training during lunches on Tuesday that you must attend.

Lasallian Ministry meets this morning from 7:30-8:20am in D117.  The topic for this meeting is respecting life in all stages and will include information on the Northside Life Care Center and Catholic Eldercare.  Opportunities for volunteering will be shared as well.

DeLaSalle Theatre invites all students interested in our winter productions to come to the Winter Musical and Winter Plays Information Meeting. We’ll be going over the productions and all the areas you can get involved. All interests welcome – on stage, back stage, costumes, lights, sound – we encourage you to come and learn about how you can get involved. The meeting is today from 3:15-4:00pm in D117. Questions? Do you enjoy running?  Or are you trying to stay in shape between fall and spring sports?  Looking for people to run with?  Join the Polar Bear Running Club and run with a group once a week throughout the winter.  Meet at Founders Park today at 3:20pm for our first run.  We should be done between 4:30-5pm.  Dress to ready to run – be sure to wear warm clothes!  All are welcome.  Contact Ms. Arens for more information.

Students receiving financial assistance are required to complete 10 hours of scheduled work-service each year they attend DeLaSalle. Work can range from assisting custodians with light duty building maintenance to general outside groundskeeping.

Work service shifts are available:

  • Nov. 21 and 22: After school shift (3:15-5:15pm)
  • Nov. 23: No school (9:30am-3:00pm, with 30 minute break)
  • Dec. 5-9: After school shift (3:15-5:15pm)
  • Sat. Dec. 10:  8:00am-1:30pm
  • Dec. 12-16: After school shift (3:15-5:15pm)

Join us for the next NET Lifeline Mass and concert on Saturday, December 3 at the NET Center in West St. Paul. A thousand students from across the Twin Cities who are looking for a Mass with GREAT music and a message that is geared to them will be there. The Mass concert will be done about 9:00pm; we will go out for pizza afterwards. You can get a ride from DeLaSalle, which leaves at 4:30pm, or from St. Mark’s Catholic Church parking lot in St. Paul at 4:50pm.

This event is sold out! We have a limited number of tickets, so you must sign up here to let us know you are coming. Next, print off this permission slip and return it with the fee for the concert to Mrs. Kocourek or Mrs. Wojda by Monday, November 28.
