Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

From ghoulies and ghosties
And long-leggedy beasties
And things that go bump in the night,
Good Lord, deliver us!

(Traditional Scottish prayer)

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

Lasallian Ministry will continue offering the Monday morning prayer in the Upper Room school chapel in November. You are invited to Mass November 7, prayer on November 14 and 21 and Mass on November 28. We begin at 7:45am and all are welcome!

The lunch get together with Fr. Joe originally planned for today has been postponed until next Monday.

How do we know that God exists?  Is it just a matter of faith, or is it reasonable to believe in a Creator?  Being that a small but growing minority of Americans (almost 1 in 10) do not believe in God at all, now is a good time to rediscover how solid our belief in God truly is.  Learn about how even our innate desire for God gives us proof.  Come to the Lasallian Ministry office during lunch hours on Mondays (Nov. 7, Nov. 14, Nov. 21) to enjoy a free cookie, a brief video clip, and some good discussion with Fr. Joe Kuharski, our school chaplain.

Our community will gather for All Saints’ Day Mass between first and second period tomorrow. Please come prepared for worship. We welcome our school chaplain, Fr. Joe Kuharski, as our celebrant.

On Wednesday, we will recognize many students for their academic accomplishments at our Academic Pepfest after 8th hour. The Pepfest is a precursor to the celebration that will take place Wednesday evening, when De inducts 91 new members into the National Honor Society and awards academic pins and letters to those who have earned a place on the Honor Roll for both semesters in 2015-16 and on the Honor Roll for four semesters, respectively.

A special thank you to the entire DeLaSalle community for your participation in Diversity Week. At our Lasallian Ministry Meeting on Thursday, November 10, we will have a special appreciation breakfast and activity, Please come to Room D117 from 7:30-8:20am. All are welcome

Ernie McNeal, head wrestling coach at DeLaSalle will be at school today to meet players and talk about wrestling during lunches! Come meet our wrestling coach!

Join the Science Club this Wednesday at 7:45am for “Hall Rockets!” See Mr. Dirlam with any questions. We meet in B315.

Everyone is wondering, “When will ONYX will be stepping into season!?” The first step team practice/informational will be held Friday at 7:30am in the LL Gray Gym. We will discuss the season, practice schedules, expectations, and financial obligations. We will then get the body moving and start learning the basics of stepping. If you are interested or just want to know more, please join us at this first practice! The cut off for joining the DeLaSalle ONYX Step Team will be Friday, November 18.

As a reminder, everyone must pay to attend section playoff games, whether it is for football, volleyball, or other sports. Thanks for supporting the Islanders in their playoff action!

Sorry to those who hoped to go to the NET Lifeline Mass in November – the priest saying that Mass is such a popular speaker that they have to sell tickets for it and it was already sold out in early October! We will have to go that one next year and see what all the excitement is about! In the meantime, it works out OK, because Lasallian Ministry has the Night to Fight Homelessness that same weekend. Check with Ms. Hodapp for details!

Our next Lifeline Mass will be Saturday December 3. There is a concert afterwards with Steve Angrisano and the tickets are $10. Mark your calendar and watch The Source for a sign-up form and permission slip.
