Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Lord, you have given us much so we know that much is required of us.  Help us to fulfill the desires you have for us.  Amen.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle…pray for us.

Live Jesus in our hearts…forever!

Parent-Student-Teacher conferences allow parents, students, and teachers an opportunity to discuss a student’s academic progress near the mid-point in the semester. As students and parents can benefit by hearing the same commendations and recommendations from teachers, we strongly suggest students and parents attend conferences and participate in these conversations together.

Conferences are scheduled today from 2:00-8:00pm and again tomorrow from 11:00am-7:00pm. You do not need an appointment to hold a conference with a teacher. Instead, you can meet with your child’s teachers at your own pace and whenever they are available.

Enjoy the four-day weekend coming up! Remember, there are no classes tomorrow or Friday.

The DeLaSalle Guidance office invites students and families to learn more about college admissions at a panel tonight, from 5:30-6:30pm, in D104. Three college representatives will share the college view of the application process and help students and families answer “What are colleges looking for in a prospective student?” Come prepared with questions for this informative and popular session.

Art Club will not meet after school today because of Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences. See you again October 26. Thank you.

If you missed prayer in the “Upper Room” school chapel this morning, join us next Monday at  7:45am for Mass with Fr. Joe Kuharski. All are welcome!

Our 19th annual Diversity Week starts Monday. On Monday, we kick off the week with a performance by Nothando Zulu, master storyteller.  Learn about African and African-American personalities, their lives, contributions, and place in history. Other highlights of the week include classroom presentations and our always anticipated Diversity Week Finale.

DeLaSalle welcomes the University of Notre Dame and guests from the area to the island on Tuesday, October 25 for a presentation on application and attendance at Notre Dame. Students who are interested in applying to Notre Dame or any other highly selective college should attend this presentation to gain an understanding of what is needed to apply. The presentation is from 6:30-9:00pm in D104. Please stop by the Guidance office with any questions.
