In order to meet with a college rep, you must register for the visit through your Naviance account and notify your teacher at least one day before the visit. You may show your teacher your iPad with the registration on Naviance as your pass. Remember, you are responsible for any work you miss during your visit with the college rep.

Apple will be releasing a software update next week for the iPad called iOS 10. Students should NOT update their iPad with the new iOS 10 operating system until DeLaSalle’s technology team has tested school apps for iOS 10 compatibility and functionality in the school environment so we can transition smoothly to the new software. Please ignore any iOS 10 software update notifications or prompts that appear on your iPad until further notice from DeLaSalle. Students who update to iOS 10 before given permission will have restrictions placed on their device and all personal apps will be deleted for the remainder of the semester.

Please welcome our new after school supervisor, Aaron Fimon ’10, back to the island. He is the new after school supervisor in the Islander Commons D104.

Remember, the Library is open after school until 6:00pm Monday-Thursday and until 5:00pm on Friday.

Today is the deadline to order your Homecoming t-shirt online. Orders must be placed before 10pm. T-shirts cost $10; click here to order yours.

The shirts should be delivered to DeLaSalle by September 21 and will be available for pick-up during lunches. You must have your confirmation invoice, which is emailed to you as a confirmation of your order, in order to pick up your shirt.

A limited number of t-shirts will be available during lunches next week for those who don’t order one online.

DeLaSalle Theatre Club, the student-led club designed to help students connect and support all the DeLaSalle Theatre events, is meeting today at 3:15pm by the stage door (the orange wall in the D building). Do you want to get involved in the productions, but not sure where to start? This is a great way to meet the other students and learn more about the fall productions. For more information contact Mr. Buffington.

Art Club starts after school today at 3:15 in in room B110. All Islanders are welcome.

National Art Honor Society (NAHS) holds its first meeting Thursday for Juniors and seniors in room B110.

The Lasallian Ministry staff would like to welcome everyone to our first gathering of the school year tomorrow from 7:30-8:20am in room D104. We would like everyone to attend this meeting, even if you are already involved in Lasallian Ministry as we will be sharing information on several new opportunities, projects and programs being offered this year through Lasallian Ministry. If your bus drops you off at 8:10, you are still welcome to stop in at that time. If you cannot make the morning meeting but are still interested in participating, please stop by the Lasallian Ministry office for more information.

WE Day is happening on Tuesday, September 20 at the Xxcel Energy Center with headliners including Paula Abdul, Omi, George Takei and more. If you would like to participate in WE Day, please email Mr. Hallman. We are looking for students who have performed exemplary service.

The Lasallian Minstry team invites you all to join us in hearing Matt Birk, former NFL football player, share his ‘All-Pro Wisdom.’ This event will take place on Sunday, October 2 at 5:45pm at Nativity of Our Lord Church. We will drive students to the event from DeLaSalle at 5:00pm. The event is free with a light dinner included. If you are interested in attending or have any questions please email Ms. Ortiz by September 26th.

Apply today to the Hennepin Theatre Trust if are interested in attending Broadway musical theatre and writing critical reviews, sharing your opinion of the production for the public to read. You will attend workshops and this season’s touring productions at the Orpheum and State theaters (Lineup includes Fun Home, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, The King and I, The Bodyguard, Matilda The Musical, Wicked, Cabaret, Motown The Musical, Rent, Mamma Mia! and Sweeney Todd) with high school students from metro area schools. You will be guided through the writing process and post your review on the Hennepin Theatre Trust website.
